Just because she was born in Metropolis, that doesn't mean she stayed there for her whole childhood. Military kids travel with their parents all the time, and many still refer to their birthplace or a longtime residence as "home".Speaking of changes to the mythos, a minor one I caught was Lois referring to herself as a “girl from Bakerline,” suggesting she’s a Metropolis native born and bred. Most modern versions have emphasized the idea that she was an Army brat, with the implied itinerant upbringing.
Just as an FYI, Gunn went back to the building that was the inspiration and model for the Super Friends' Hall of Justice.I also found the recreation of the Hall of Justice facade from the original Hanna-Barbera 1973 version of The Super Friends Saturday morning cartoon series laugh out loud hilarious when I saw it.
David Corenswet was great as both Superman and Clark Kent. To me it really felt like he was channeling aspects of Christopher Reeves version of Clark Kent, and it worked well in my opinion.
Why does she even have a superhero costume? I didn’t get the impression she was one yet.![]()
I am so (read: even more) excited for Supergirl after this.![]()
