Trumpet of Parrots and One Notion - no new seats won. Palmer to bow out of politics.
I think it's too soon to say that about Fatty McFuckface.
If an opportunity arises the next time around we may see his ugly mug in the next election, who knows?

Gina Rineheart thinks that Australia should have more Trump like policies. We said on the weekend - that we don't. Maybe should leave.

Greens leaderless as Adam Bandt projected to lose in Melbourne
Greens leader Adam Bandt has little in common with defeated Liberal leader Peter Dutton, but the pair now share the misfortune of being party leaders who lost their own seats in an election that saw Labor romp home.www.abc.net.au

Congrats to Australia for their Labour landslide. Nice to see you reject RW politics whole-heartedly. We also rejected it, but sadly not quite as full-bore as you did... the Liberals were held to a minority, and the Conservatives still had a very strong showing. Thanks to you for showing the world how it's done.
Quite funny to see people repeating stuff I pointed out a couple of days ago.Good to know the level of attention my posts attract in this thread.
But anyway.
Whatever else anyone wants to say about the Greens, the incontrovertible fact remains that they have been the only party in this country to stand up for Palestine and out call the despicable genocide in Gaza for what it is. It's only to be expected that the coalition - in its current form - wouldn't do the same, but it's contemptible that the supposedly progressive Labor lot haven't spoken up. Then again Labor spent all those years in opposition aiding and abetting the coalition's repulsive asylum seeker / refugee policies, so they clearly aren't remotely as progressive as they / people imagine they are. And as usual, portfolios will be allocated according to factions rather than competence / ability.
What a time to be alive.
