Unless Disney is lying about how much they spent. The main thing is, if it was a success they would for sure be touting it as a success and would be talking about the net Captain America movie they want to do.

They're busy focusing on the setup for Doomsday, the next big thing. As they should.

I think that has been the case for awhile. Not just Doomsday. I think they have high hopes as well for Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts. Also they went hard in promoting Daredevil but that is looking like a failure as well but I think they still have some Faith they can turn it around in season 2. I expect to see Karen,Foggy,The Punisher all having lots to do in season 2. Also more Daredevil action.

With some of the other stuff. I think with Captain America they expected it to bomb in terms of making money but they did have hopes people would like Sam Wilson in the role. They have higher hopes I think for the character than they did the movie's ability to make it's money back. They had no idea what to expect from the Spiderman cartoon so that was unexpected success. They are probably going try and get Ironheart over as fast as possible, I think they will drop all the episodes at once. Last thing they will want is people belly aching about it for a month.

Calling Born Again a failure is the kind of fickle attitude I've been talking about. The show's ratings are comparable to the Netflix original version but that's somehow not good enough.

They don't make movies expecting them to bomb, this isn't Uwe Boll.

I don't think it was made to fail. I think Chapak thought it would do well. But he is gone so they have a few things leftover that they basically just had to put IMO because they were to far into production to stop. What they are making now I think is part of their new approach to bringing back the MCU from the kind of MCU fatigue that took over.

As for Daredevil I think they were not just expecting it to campare to Netflix ratings. I think they thought it would be a bigger hit. Maybe even get the kind of love that they haven't gotten since Wandavision, which I think is still in general the most popular and successful of the Disney PLus shows. Maybe Loki as well. Agatha was I think a surprise hit as well but I think Wandavision is still the gold standard.

Werewolf by Night, Agatha, Falcon/Winter Soldier, Loki, heck the Hawkeye show was an unexpected delight.

I'm loving how fickle you are.

I actually liked all those shows. In fact I liked most of them better than Loki but I still think Loki was a bigger success than them. Not sure about Werewolf by Night. I know people liked it but not sure if it got good ratings or anything.
