"Legacy." I'm going insane waiting for Captain Seven's movie or show!

Young-Picard would only be good for showing us the "lost era." And most of what I'd like to see from that era would create continuity errors if Picard was involved. (The Enterprise-C, Gillian Taylor)

For the love of Kahless's balls, no more "early Starfleet" prequels. "Enterprise," the Abrams movies, and the first two seasons of "Discovery" were all disasters of prequelitis. After four tries "Strange New Worlds" finally got it right; no need to tempt fate and try a fifth time.

If we must have another prequel make it about an era we haven't seen yet, like the Enterprise-C era or the Eugenics Wars.

I think I just want a starship exploring sf situations that somebody put some thought and imagination into when turning them into morality plays. (By which I do NOT mean, “We must rescue Regular Protagonist X from Planet Y; will we succeed?!”)

So what do you mean? Don't mince words, tell us what you really think.

Obviously written by better people than me, but stuff along the lines of “Huh, this planet has a strange phenomenon/cultural quirk/mystery going on. Let’s see what’s causing that! Oh hey, this could lead a situation bad for the planet and/or us. Can we do something about it without breaking the Prime Directive? No? What if we do such-and-such? Brilliant, let’s get to work!” Cue action.

(Obviously, I would and have watched plenty of Trek that doesn’t fit this. I love The Wrath of Khan as much as anybody else. But it is my sort of ur-picture of what Starfleet does, when it’s not showing the flag.)

The episode you want is called " Children of the Comet" (SNW 1x2)

Which I liked quite a lot, yes. Although, as ever, I would have liked the planet or its culture to be a bit more developed or unique. Early classic Doctor Who was actually surprisingly good at this, though of course I don’t mean I’m looking for planet problems that can be easily solved by four people.

I want the Enterprise-J. The 26th century would be interesting to explore as theres quite a bit to unpack in the brief glimpse of it plus the Universe class is beautiful.

Of the other options on the list Garrett spin off definitely would be next on the list.

You'd have to work to convince me on the young Picard one.

Romulan War would just remind me that Enterprise was robbed and unless it was animated not having Enterprise characters in it would feel like a disservice.

The last thing I want is that Legacy nonsense.
