The 30-second clip is currently the top trending video on YouTube, with just under 1.5 million views since this morning.
The hype is working then. Also I can see what they mean by being influenced by "Top Gun: Maverick"

Delighted that Gunn has not dialed the suit's colors down to muddy grays and browns in post. Every Superman live-action production this century, all the way back to Superman Returns, has been afraid of letting the costume pop with bright primary colors, lest people think they were watching a comic book character on screen or something. It's a very good sign IMO that Gunn doesn't seem to share that self-conscious hangup.
Clever of the teaser to start out looking like another dark, somber Superman movie and then... Krypto to the rescue! Way to subvert expectations.
I'll take the heat and be honest from my POV: this trailer sucked.
The suit is trash now that I've seen it in live action, another trope of 'white hero saves the non-whites in war torn countries' that was done way better in Iron Man, Guy Gardner looks too fucking old, and finally "world against Superman" again.
Now here's a proper Superman trailer. Sort comments by New.
