The James Bond Film Discussion Thread (With Bonus Lazenby!)

Random thought. I think that maybe the over 5-year-old title of this thread is rather out of date. Maybe something like "James Bond / Ian Fleming discussion", or the like would be more appropriate at this point.

If only there was a person who were both a moderator and the person who started the thread who could update it. ;)

You can never have too much Lazenby. ;)

Just in time for Goldenye's 30th anniversary!

Hell, isn't it common knowledge that Lazenby was offered an olive branch of returning for Live and Let Die but showed no interest, so Roger Moore became the only other logical choice? Lazenby and others have made mention that LALD was offered but George just said no.

I thought Cubby wanted him back but George walked!
True, George walked. But at that point I think Broccoli and Saltzman washed their hands of him.

But wait!

THIS I did not know! Whoa. What an alternate universe that would have been! (Or are you messing with us?)

Ahhh Guy. I would call all of his stuff crap except that Goldfinger is clearly genius. But I feel confident in saying that Goldfinger paved the way for everything wrong with the Moore era and beyond (as well as Diamonds are Forever, of course).

Now Terrance Young, there was a filmmaker.
