I wonder why Andrew Robinson originally started using the J. initial, and why he stopped again.

Also, the fissures causing a second fissure is a bit of an even-Stevens situation, so I will from this point on refer to the them as Fissure Stevens. ...awful! ;)

P.S. I was glad to see a nice looking Defiant class instead of that slightly weird variant we saw previously.

Okay, the inner nerd in me loved all of the guest roles and stuff and it was a good setup for a finale, but the Lower Decks fan in me was a little disappointed. First, this is the second episode in a row where we really didn’t spend that much time with our regulars. Second, this is the second to the last episode and we really didn’t spend that much time with our regulars. I think “Upper Decks” probably should have come earlier in the season. I just really am hoping for one hell of a finale for our crew.

Well that was a wild episode, but I really liked it. Poor Harry Kim, even in his LD episode he's overshadowed by the other returning guest stars. (I do fully expect to see Prime Universe Captain Kim next episode tho).

I very much share Boimler's opinions about the multiverse being a lazy re-imagining, although I think this episode has handled it really well. Given that the show partially exists as a vehicle to bring back old guest stars, they use the multiverse idea well to bring back T'Pol, Data, and 17 Harry Kims. It still makes me nervous tho that the idea of a multiverse is now a canon concept (outside of one-offs like Parallels). I'm a big fan of Enterprise, so it was fun to see T'Pol back again. I'm hoping we'll get at least something with Trip or Archer in the conclusion.

You know some writer had years of Garak-Bashir fan fiction to reference, they're out there living their dream life somewhere.

Alternate Mariner is a capable engineer and risk-averse, but must still be rebellious enough to be an ensign?

I liked the Defiant variant. It would’ve been cool to see it down more, if only to prompt STO and Fanhome to release it. Perhaps we can get a Section 31 Defiant class in STO next year!

This was my concern too.

It was a lot of fun with the with the guest cast in the multiverse for nostalgia's sake, but it's hard to connect with the story without the regular cast.

At least this time they knew better than to have the last episode of the series focus on someone other than the main characters.

It was the second to last episode.

They're learning.

And reinforced by TNG's "Parallels" and the Kelvin verse.
The Mirror and Kelvin universes can at least be explained as unique occurrences. I'm fine with a handful of alternate realms, but uneasy about an infinite number.

Parallels I just close and eyes and pretend won't happen again

I wonder if listing Blalock in the closing credits as "JOLENE" was the compromise for her returning to the role after nearly twenty years. "I'll do it, but I'm done with acting and the business and I'm returning as a favor to you kind people who treat me and my series so well. Don't put my surname in the credits." Besides, maybe she's officially changed her surname since she got married and left Hollywood?

She might not technically BE "Jolene Blalock" anymore.

She can be whoever she wants to be, I'm just overjoyed that she came back.

It was the second to last episode.

Reminder, they didn't know this was going to be the last season when they wrote it. Maybe it would have been different if they knew before writing started.

Apparently they did manage to add 8 more minutes to the finale, but that's it.
