Sure. When speaking...to others who can ask for immediate clarification. Plus, it actually was once called Sears Tower officially. However, the previous iteration (DCEU) was NEVER officially called DCFU (which, frankly, seems more like an epithet than an acronym for something someone would want to experience) nor is the current iteration (DCU) something that was originally called something else, like DCOU. So your Sears Tower analogy is...not analogous at all.

Watched the first two episodes of Creature Commandos. I'm still really excited for Gunn's other DC stuff, but I'm not going to watch any more of this. The characters suck, the humor is juvenile even by James Gunn's standards, and it has absolutely none of the heart which usually holds up Gunn's work. The Suicide Squad and even Peacemaker had more going for them beyond just being vehicles for"adult" jokes, which is probably why they were so good. Creature Commandos on the other hand feels to me like a bad Adult Swim cartoon, its not funny and the characters suck. It kind of feels like a bad Hellboy ripoff, although I realize that the premises are different.

I still think that Gunn is going to great at the normal DC stuff, and even with his comedic stuff I'm excited for Peacemaker Season 2, but I think that Creature Commandos is a complete miss.

It's a silly thing to call the DCU the "DCOU," when it has a perfectly serviceable official designation and the idiosyncratic renaming really adds nothing.

"DCFU" for the DCEU at least had the benefit of being funny commentary (or I always found it so, though I doubt fans of that continuity did).

Watched the first two episodes of Creature Commandos, thought it was a very strong continuation of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.

It felt like James Gunn.

I watched the first two Creature Commandos episodes and they were fine. I am disappointed that it is not something a family with young kids can watch together. Also it does seem that he is keeping Peacemaker and the Suicide Squad as canon.

Yeah, that is surprising. It's definitely is more of a Halloween thing that a Christmas thing.

Fun fact for those who might not be aware of it, Maria Bakalova, who voices Princess Ilana Rostovic, was also the voice of Kosmo in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Vol. 3, and was also the woman in the infamous scene with Rudy Guliani in the hotel room in the second Borat movie.
