MAN OF THE PEOPLE was pretty lame...more of that mental rape/violation/whatever stuff that plagues Troi.

Probably worse than Rascals...but I already voted. And I haven't seen MAN OF THE PEOPLE in years.

I actually found Rascals kinda funny, and not in a 'oh god what is this?' way- I actually enjoyed it. Stupid premise, but executed as well as it could realistically have been, I think. And the kid actors didn't suck.

ETA: I just used my 5000th post to support Rascals. I feel a little unclean.

Man of the People (Sirtis can't Act)

It's really weird. For 5 1/2 years I thought she couldn't act either. Then came Face of the Enemy. Then Second Chances. I was hugely impressed with her in both of them, and noticed a general increase in quality the rest of season 6 and 7, plus her appearances on VOY. Somehow putting her in an actual Starfleet uniform seemed to improve her acting abilities...

I think you're right. I never had a problem with her in Voyager and actually welcomed the shows in which she was in. As for Face of the Enemy, she wasn't troi which I think helped a lot. Still, there were some really big cringeworthy Sirtis moments in the series and this episode had most of them.

I think a good deal of it had to do with her getting better material to work with. I don't think there's any actor, no matter what their callibre, that could have done a thing with some of the rubbish Troi had to spout in earlier seasons of Trek.

My own picks:

Birthright II - Because it could probably have been tolerable enough as a one-parter, but the second half is just interminable. And Klingon episodes get so horribly stereotypey after a while, don't they?

Fistful of Datas - Never been that big a fan of the All Spiner, All the Time episodes, and FFoDs has him at his most scenery-masticating. Although, I love the start of the episode to bits.

Man of the People - Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Ouch.

I don't think there's a single episode in this season though that could really be called bad Trek.

Really didn't dislike any per se. Just had some that were least favourites because the storylines weren't quite so engaging as the rest of the season.
