A thought I had which dips into real world politics, but hopefully not enough to be out of bounds for this forum. Anyway, I remember just after the 2020 US election someone noted in the pre-release thread we had for No Time to Die that Trump was now the only US president since Eisenhower to not have a Bond movie released during his presidency. But now Trump's getting a second term, so if MGM can get a new Bond movie out before January 2029, he might get a Bond movie during his presidency yet.

I do harbour a crazy conspiracy theory that he's a red herring, maybe not deliberately so but Eon are happy for him to deflect from who they really want and ATJ gets free publicity which isn't a bad thing for an actor.
