The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Ryan Murphy has cast Charlie Hunnam as Ed Gein in his upcoming series 'Monster'. Ed Gein, if you don't know, was the inspiration behind Norman Bates in 'Psycho', Leatherface in 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre', Erza Cobb in 'Deranged' and Buffalo Bill in 'Silence of the Lambs.' So, while not a reboot or a remake, there are definitely some connections to other movies.

It better not make the remake mistake and make it PG-13 or the tv version of PG-13. I would love if it was also connected to the movies. Have a new cop now that Murphy is to old.

Since multiverses are big right now, they'll bring back Peter Weller, Robert John Burke, Richard Eden, Page Fletcher and Joel Kinneman for the series.

So, I just saw a trailer on YouTube for 'Nautilus', the '20,000 Leagues' prequel that Disney+ canceled after filming was completed.
It looks like it's going to be airing on some Australian streaming service called 'Stan'.
Judging by the trailer, the Nautilus was built by 'The Corporation' i.e. The Far East India Company, as a means to attack rival shipping, and Nemo steals the submersible which leads to The Corporation chasing Nemo '20,000 Leagues'.

I was really looking forward to that! Hopefully it makes it to the States at some point.

Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are reportedly working on a remake of 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World' with a 'Who's Who' of comedians from the last thirty years.

I love British humor. A similar concept based in a London pub might be interesting. I'd give it a go, anyway.

I miss Dead Pixels. :(

Is this in the Finding Nemo continuity?
