In very obvious places with neon signage.[*Hides my fan films and my short stories*]
I don't find Star Trek or its fans "elitist" in any way.It really isn't. Not even remotely. That is just elitism bleeding through.

Not in common, OK there might be someone who got that attitude.
Many Star Trek fans like Star Wars and Stargate as well.
I do!![]()
I can agree about that if you mean common people who don't like or aren't interested in Star Trek.Star Trek is just too complex for those who want adventure and fun. Sounds pretty fucking snobbish to me. But, I'm an idiot. So, what do I know?

Let’s back up a bit. “Fucking snobbish” is pushing the envelope.
All fans can be elitist so a level, and I've definitely experienced that across multiple fandoms and such, including Trek and Star Wars. I did not have the most positive experiences with a Star Trek club at a local scifi convention because I didn't know all the trivia they did. Likewise, with Star Wars, there was this expectation of knowledge of trivia.I don't find Star Trek or its fans "elitist" in any way.
What about ALIEN and PREDATOR?Many Star Trek fans like Star Wars and Stargate as well.

They're just good friends. What about ALIEN and PREDATOR?
I was asking what do Star Trek fans think about the two sci-fi horror franchisesThey're just good friends.
I do not like horror so they usually are not among franchises I list to watch.was asking what do Star Trek fans think about the two sci-fi horror franchises
I've enjoyed films from both franchises. The first two Alien films are classics.I was asking what do Star Trek fans think about the two sci-fi horror franchises
As an ALIEN/PREDATOR fan, I find Star Trek is kind of weak on its speculative biology and speculative evolution aspects. I of course mean no Disrespect to Star Trek, its an okay sci-fi series. I enjoyed DS9 the most, mainly due to its world building.
Maybe it wasn't the focus but get this the creature designers went out and studied actual animal biology to make the xenomorph. So the xenomorph had more thought put in its design then most Star Trek aliens who were just humans dressed in makeup with random placement organs to make it "alieny".I've enjoyed films from both franchises. The first two Alien films are classics.
Never thought of either franchise as top of the line when it comes to "speculative biology and speculative evolution". At their core they involve fighting monsters.
