I like how we will see a Ms Marvel character in the new Daredevil series. I hope they keep using the character and her family in movies and shows.

How do they do that while she's in Arishem's custody? She needs to be rescued first, hence the need for some sort of follow-up on Eternals. Whether it's in an Eternals sequel or elsewhere, there needs to be some follow-up on her story before she can become an Avenger.
Or they could just jump straight over it, like they did with Mordo.

It seems to like kind of a big cliffhanger to just jump over the resolution though, I'd rather see it addressed somehow, even if it's just a quick scene 5 minute of the Eternals being rescued in someone else's movie.

I might have made a Billion. It kind of depends on what kind of movie would have been made without Jackman.

I liked Sam Jackson. I liked Ben Mendlesohn. I liked Emilia Clarke. I liked Don Cheadle.

The plot was a boring, plodding mess.

I honestly didn't even like any of them as much as I should have. The characterization was almost as bad as the plot. The only genuinely great character scene in the show was Rhodey confronting Fury and even that was rendered completely meaningless by the big plot twist.

Rewatching Ms Marvel. Forgot just how fun this show was. First episode was brilliant. Brought back memories of my life as a young nerd.

Ms. Marvel is one of my favorites. Fun, whimsical, innocent and yet full of thrilling moments and risks to Kamala's safety. They got the formula for that series just right.

As a huge fan of the Ms. Marvel comics, Iman Vellani is absolutely perfect casting and the show really has the right atmosphere and fun factor. I just wish they'd bothered to make her powers look right and come up with some better ideas on the villain side. Going with a flabby mish mash of Damage Control and Clan Destine was not a great decision.

They really could have had a better villain. One weak spot of the show.

Take away Jackman, the costume and the other old characters like Snipes and X23 and the movie would've broke even but that's it.

I initially had a gripe with Deadpool in how/where it ended... but as I think about it, I like it.

Since it's a spoiler thread... uh... spoilers?

I expected Deadpool at the very least to land in 616 by the end of the movie. To my surprise, he was back in 100005. I initially felt like a letdown.

BUT... actually, no. That's a brilliant idea.

I've felt the buildup to Secret Wars has been lackluster. We really need to explore more universes to care about. the fact that 100005 still exists is the perfect thing for that, as well as we know the Sony (err, a few Sony) universes exist and F4 will be its own thing too.

We can get something akin to Ultimate universe colliding with 616, and do an MCU-style amalgam of that and Avengers vs. X-Men... and then in all culminates in Secret Wars.

I'm saying without the gutless fanservice (mainly Jackman coming back), this movie wouldn't have been as successful
You're saying that now. Your original claim was "The only reason DP and W made money was because they brought Jackman back and put him in costume. That's it"

You were very specific.

I agree with the idea that a portion of the box office exists only due to Jackman. I think only a fool would claim otherwise.

You also said that a sequel to two 785m dollar movies couldn't possibly have broken even (on a 200m budget) without all the extra fanservice that wasn't in the first two movies.
They could have found another fan service hook to reel people in. The more gutless the better.
There's a reason why we waited so long for a 3rd movie, Reynolds admitted he couldn't think of ideas after DP2.

And it could have been worse, some folks thought this movie would end with them going to Endgame and saving Tony and keeping Steve from leaving and wiping out everything since Endgame out too.

And he came up an idea. Not seeing a problem.

Yeah, only someone with severe cognitive dissonance would believe that post Endgame was going to be reset. Not even sure why you think bringing it up means anything,
