Snowpiercer (TV series)

How did you watch Episode 2 already? Is it up early on AMC+?
This was a great start to the season.
I'm liking the new setup with New Eden so far.
I don't remember enough of what Oz did to know if we should feel bad for him at this point, or if he's getting what he deserves.
Zarah's death was a huge shock.
I'm assuming since Mrs. Headwood is working with Milius and his men must have something to do with

Wanted to ask real quick....what options do mybwife and I have to see seasons 3 and 4? Is it just bone streaming service? Try8ng to see if we will need to catch up later on a differently platform

OK, I remembered LJ being horrible, but I couldn't remember if he was as bad as she was.

Damn, that was an intense flashback. While the scientific needs for Snowpiercer to help Earth in the long term sounds promising, Millius' cutthroat tactics makes me wary of the full authenticity of the situation. If it was a simple case of needing Snowpiercer to distribute the MacGuffins (I've already forgotten the term they used), then why didn't they simply communicate to Snowpiercer for help? Between that and the violent kidnapping of Liana leaves me dreading the other shoe to drop.

Even though we already Audrey was destined to be discovered in poor condition, I remained terrified that they would also kill Till. And right on the heels of Zarah's death. The stakes feel high and Millius is clearly someone not to mess around with. That makes me even more skeptical of the authenticity of this so-called peacekeeping mission.

I also fully expected Wilford to be part of Millius' group but he was nowhere to be seen (at least not yet...), even if that didn't line up with Millius' lack of knowledge of Melanie (or at least current knowledge of her considering Dr. Nima Rousseau knew her before the Freeze).

Lastly...what the fuck is going on with the white guards and the black fumes that come off them? I can't remember if that's something we've seen before with the experimentations done on Boki or if that is something new.

Which is precisely the point. I just hope they don't go overboard with "Well, it's the final season, time to kill tons of people off!" that some shows get carried away with.

Yeah, I was worried about Till too.
Milius and his guys are definitely pretty ruthless. The whole plan launch the tech to help warm the planet seems like a good thing, but they're pretty clearly bad guys, so I'm sure there will be a dark side to whatever they're up to. The fact that the first thing we find out after the time jump is that they're about to attack New Eden definitely points in that direction.
That black stuff floating out after got shot was strange. My two theories on it right is that it's possibly part of some kind heating system for when they're outside, or that they're some kind of robots. We haven't really seen anything as high tech as robots yet, so I'm leaning more towards a heating system right now.

I attended the panel for Snowpiercer at San Diego Comic-Con. Jennifer Connelly was not in attendance. I was disappointed but not surprised, as she had been Instagramming from Norway just the week before. I had seen Keanu Reeves and Connelly in 2008 when they were at SDCC to promote The Day The Earth Stood Still.

Any interesting tidbits at the panel?

Josie said she didn't recognize Layton in that moment, but I think even Andre didn't recognize himself. He did later when finally had a chance to breath and think just a little. He was lost in a blind rage and panic over Lilah's kidnapping and Zarah's murder.

But that all said, Layton is damn lucky to have such good and decent friends such as Javi and Roche and even Ruth, who provided him the necessary tools to actually enact a viable plan to rescue her.

Because if he hadn't had such friends, I don't think I would've liked where Layton would've gone for his cause and how terrible the end results would've been for all of New Eden.

Of course, not everything is peachy back on Snowpiercer and it appears that Milius' grand altruistic plan is not as simple and clearly beneficial for mankind (shocking, I know). Seems to me that the plan is less about changing the planet for the better, but somehow changing mankind to survive on the planet. That's before you even get to the chemical weapon designed for Big Alice.

Lastly, I finally realized what the markings on the white soldiers' helmets remind me of: Artwork from the graphic novel Maus. Probably not deliberate but I can't unsee it now.

Yeah, I was glad they managed to work out a system to keep New Eden going without Big Alice, I can understand Layton's desperation, but I would have hated to see him get everyone there killed.
It's nice to get a little more of idea of what exactly Milius is up to, and it's not looking good. I'm curious what's going on with Melanie that they seem to be avoiding showing her. Is Jennifer Conolly still in the credits? I didn't notice her name the last couple episodes.
I'm curious what exactly Milius's backstory is, I'm assuming since he's Admiral Milius that he must have been in the navy before everything froze.
The one big question mark for me that we saw in the trailers but haven't seen yet is Wilford. I'm curious which side of the conflict with Milius he's going to be on. Right now I see three possibilities once he shows up, it turns out he's the mastermind behind Milius's plan and they join forces, Milius is working against him and he joins forces to help the Snowpiercer people to stop Wilford, or the other way around and Wilford joins forces with them to stop Milius.

Jennifer Connolly is only credited in the episodes she appeared in. But it is curious how absent she was in this episode.

If the community put it to a vote, and they really needed the protein, they'd eat that baby first.

Of course, if they were copying the The 100, they'd put the babies in a micro Thunderdome, and eat the loser.

Two babies enter, one baby leaves!
Two babies enter, one baby leaves!
Two babies enter, one baby leaves!

To answer you question from away back, I live in a far away country where magic happens, and I'm still an episode ahead. Seen 3 a week ago, waiting on 4.

Yeah, he was in a bad place. I'm glad Roche was able to sympathize and get Ruth to hold the vote.

So the bird died and Alex is having nosebleeds. And this could be a "bubble". Hmm...

Milius wasn't always an Admiral. I'm thinking much of the chain of command died and he took over.

WTF is the chemical weapon for???
