A bit of a wait. But no problem.
Out of those three, Simpsons was the only one which continued delivering memorable episodes after its fifth season, which they kept doing until the tenth. No one ever claimed any of those should've ended at season 5 though!

I definitely did.No one ever claimed any of those should've ended at season 5 though!
I definitely did.
I would if I could've but didn't so I wouldn't have. Or something.Well you would, wouldn’t you? I mean, of course you did.
I couldn't say when I quit, but I know I held on waaaaaay to long. When I got Disney+ I thought I'd check out a then-recent episode and quit after 10 minutes.I haven’t watched The Simpsons in oh, so many years.
103, actually.By Season 5, The Simpsons must have had 120+ episodes.
I gave up about twelve years ago. The last one I watched was the one Lady Gaga guest starred. Truth be told, there wasn't really anything particular to that episode that made me quit, that just happened to be the season finale. When the show came back in the fall, I found I just wasn't interested in watching it anymore.I couldn't say when I quit, but I know I held on waaaaaay to long.
It's only done 50 episodes. That's nothing.Simpsons. Futurama. Family Guy.
Don't want Lower Decks to outstay it's welcome and become a gaggle of trite unfunny jokes for years. Let it go and be fondly remembered.
Trailer looked like fun. Still hoping for William Boimler to come back.
We're lucky LD didn't have to wait and was good out of the gate.If Next Gen had been cancelled after 50 episodes that would've been just before Michael Piller took over as executive producer in season 3. Deep Space Nine would've ended two episodes after getting the Defiant. Voyager would've stopped halfway through Future's End. The NX-01 crew would've never heard of the Xindi.
And TOS... okay maybe that one wouldn't have been the end of the world. But those other shows would've ended before they'd even gotten good.
