Spoilers The Acolyte

They aren't more powerful. They are just more aggressive than the Jedi. The Jedi here haven't seen them in nearly a thousand years and so they have got rather relaxed in their combat abilities.
Jedi like to spread fake news that they are more powerful than the Sith and the dark side is just more seductive. We all know what happened on Naboo. Two Jedi went up against one Sith and only one (BARELY) came back.

Like what? I can find very little that i believe is good in that show.

That twist (apparently, missed the hype it seems) that it's about twin sisters left me cold or rather not that excited, it was just ok.

Jedi are arrogant in that time period which causes problems and ultimately their downfall? Has been known for ages and a core lore element in Star Wars.

If there is not a really well done twist the story seems quite obvious - Jedi waltz into a Force sensitive group, piss everybody off with their arrogance and apparently things escalate so a decade and a half later someone is out for revenge and is a Force user.

All these elements are just there and combined make for a mediocre story at best for me because it's nothing unique, it has nothing interesting to tell and the characters are bland stock characters of their archetype ( noble Jedi Master, arrogant Jedi Knight, hateful and most likely misguided revenge character, character with personal connection to revenge character who wants to save her etc).

I try not to place Star Wars in a too high pedestal but it seems to me that the Disney higher ups have a strange way of greenlighting projects. They give the thumbs up for Mandalorian and knock it out of the park, then make the mostly forgettable Kenobi ( what's the interest in a show where i know how it will end?`) than knock it out of the park again with Andor ( could have gotten rid of all Star Wars elements and would have still made for an awesome story with something to say) and then drop the ball again with Ahsoka/Rebels Season 5 ( that was concentrated dumb on a high production level).

So far the show has failed to make me care for any of the characters and i hope to god they make a hard turn qualitywise and actually surprise me - if it turns out that this mysterious Sith is that Mae sidekick i might actually die from eyerolling.

Not everyone agrees with you. I'm at Episode 3 and right now, I'm enjoying the series.

This was a pretty good episode.
The introduction of Basil was definitely the highlight for me.
The appearance of a younger Ki-Adi-Mundi was a surprise.
His behavior in this episode has thinking the people saying Qimir is The Master are right. He just seemed way to interested in finding out exactly what she had planned, and he just seems to know way to much about exactly where she needs to go and what she needs to do. Even if he's not The Master, there's definitely more going on with him than there appears to be on the surface.
Who designed the ships? They all so far look like crap!
I like them.
Is every jedi thats not human have a multiple centuries long lifespan? I think that was more special when it was rarer, now it feels like half the council from the Prequel era were around in the High Republic.
I don't see the problem, there are animals on Earth that live longer than humans, so I don't see why there'd be a problem with aliens in another galaxy living longer.

know what I find boring? People that watch shows they claim to hate, just so they can whinge about them week in, week out. If you don't like it, that's fine; Don't watch it! Nobody is forcing you to be here.
Im not hate watching it.. never said i was. .. definatly not one of those morons who poo poo it before even watching 1 episode. Im going in expecting to enjoy it. just expressing that that it can be better. I enjoyed ep3, this one was just slow.
Andor i hate watched though.... ugh..

People are attacking/vandalizing page and insulting admins/mods over at Wookieepedia because of Ki Adi Mundi's age in the show What the fuck? They're a fan wiki, not the creators of the show.

Some are also claiming the Canon page used to list an age for him and the editors are hiding that fact. But it never did.

Fandom. You never fail to disappoint.

Its not really a problem for me, I'm not losing sleep over it or anything, but it makes the High Republic feel more like the Prequel era with nicer robes, and there is also a bit of "small universe" syndrome in sticking him there.

People are literally insane. Of all the things I expect the loud internet idiots to complain about, the age of a character that is barely more then a background character in canon is the last thing I thought they'd freak out about. Knowing those people, I assumed they'd still be whining about the space witch lesbians and their special birth, its almost more pathetic that the age of a random jedi has made them lose it. Talk about looking for things to complain about.

What did Mae mean with Osha being alive changing everything? She went from murder to feeling the need to turn herself in very quickly.
Because her master lied to her. Did people not pay attention to Mae's reaction to seeing Osha the first time? Both were convinced the other was dead, and were feeling isolated from their whole community.

Oh, look, a child who develops anger issues over an attachment disruption. Damn psychology!

Which is definitely not a reason to stop watching.

Exactly.

I didn't like the coven stuff, but it's an interesting reflective organization of the Jedi as a whole, with both being insular, and limited contact with the outside world some times.

Kind of wish theyd explore other Force sensitve organizations in the Mando era. After a thousand years of repression by the jedi then the empire.. now there free to practice without anybody looking over there shoulder..
I meean.. thousands of worlds.. millions of force users..

ETA: Oh, just noticed the Databank has been updated, and we have a name for Mae's ship: Exile II. Presumably the Exile I belongs to Qimir's Sith Master. ;)
Also apparently the collective noun for umbramoths is "an eclipse". I'm sensing a theme.

Well, his age has now been retconned. That's how fiction works, nerds. Ki-Adi is now a lot older than we thought he was. Try not to lose any sleep.
I don't remember if his age was ever that firmly established to begin with. All I know for sure is that he was already grey bearded in TotJ when Dooku was barely greying . . . which assuming it's comparable to when Christopher Lee started to go grey, could have been a good 20 years prior to TPM. That would place Katri's funeral about 80 years after this show. I don't see this as much of a leap, honestly.

We don't yet know. In my head canon it'll be Plo Koon until the producers say otherwise! :)

Yes we do, and no he's not. Meet Ithia Paan.

Found a twitter account from one of the writers. A couple interesting ones:

It is indeed a Tynaan
