He had a happy ending with Laris... then immediately forgot she existed
Sssh. We don't talk about Laris anymore. We're meant to have forgotten about her by the end of season 3, just as Jean-Luc seems to have done.

Season 1, her and Picard were conducting an investigation of Dahj's apartment in Boston.aris has never met anyone in Picard’s circle - Ent-D or La Sirena - and has never been seen outside of the Chateau.
Month late, but yeah - that's how I interpreted it. My parents remained close friends after their separation. It would've been nothing for Dad to pick Mum up to go watch my brother play Rugby. Likewise with Picard, they were together to see Jack off.

Even then, she is not seen by other people. Only Picard.
The only one who would be the exception is Jurati and that was still at the Chateau.
Paramount just announced half a billion in budget cuts.
I'm not sure which new Trek is on the horizon at the moment with this announcement, beyond what's already slated.
I mean, technicallyI really enjoyed Picard and I will watch this, but I don’t think it's needed. Maybe the movie will be about finally killing of the character.
Now-former Disney CEO Bob Chapek renewed She-Hulk for S2. When current CEO Bob Iger came aboard, the renewal was cancelled and the show was cut back to one season.![]()
Could say the same about Spock. Sort of.I mean, technicallythat happened at the end of Picard S1; since then, we’ve been watching a new being with an implanted copy of the original man’s memories.
Absolutely! To say nothing of Data…Could say the same about Spock. Sort of.
I’m going to guess that SFA will be changed from a regular series to a miniseries (i.e. season 1 will be its last.)
It's hard to say what the future of Trek looks like here, although I would almost certainly say it's "less". I don't see new budget-cuty Paramount doing 2-3 concurrent shows with movies/mini-series sprinkled in.
I do think the Star Trek IP is still one of their largest so I can't imagine they just abandon it, but I think it gets scaled down.
Star Trek is the reason 40% of Paramount+ subscribers signed up in the first place.
It is a draw. It is a known draw that the Three Amigos in the CEO office would be wise to capitalize on.
You might have something there.
High-powered talents like Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti do NOT come cheap.

It is a draw, but it's also an expensive draw.
They need to find a way make Star Trek, but make Star Trek with much less of a budget. It's definitely possible
