Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to star in Deadpool III (2024)

Marvel has always been about its characters. Certain characters are staples of its brand. Feige has allowed most of them to be killed off/retired/replaced with less popular characters. Now, he's telling the hugely popular actor who is famous for one of the most popular characters his studio owns not to come back because the story is over. As a studio head it is practically professional misconduct.
Nonsense. He says the same thing about Robert Downey Jr and Tony Stark. We don't want the movies to become like the comics where death is a revolving door. You're grasping at straws and this is the one you found.

Exactly this. One of the biggest jokes in comics is characters dying, being brought back, dying again and yet again returning. I can very much respect that useless trope being something Feige wants to avoid. Especially for the actors. Can you image the critique RDJ would get for suddenly coming back as Tony after saying he was done? So many people would claim it's a cashgrab. And I saying this knowing that RDJ recently said he's open to it.

But, it seems contradictory that the person with ultimate sign off would say “I advise you emphatically, don’t do this thing (that I’m going to rubber stamp in the relatively near future)”
And what I'm saying is, even if he doesn't always mandate his first reaction to something is the last word on said matter, I'm glad story integrity is the first thing Feige thinks about when considering something like this. As opposed to, say, a certain chief executive at Lucasfilm, whose big story ideas were apparently "What if the Rebels battled another Death Star?" and "What if Indiana Jones was a single guy with no kids fighting Nazis in the Mediterranean again?" :p

In Kennedy's defense, alternatives stories HAD been attempted for SW and IJ and failed. Meaning the fans made it clear they just enjoyed the familiar stuff.

Marvel Boss Kevin Feige Admits He Warned Hugh Jackman “Don’t Come Back” For ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ “I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh. Don’t come back. You had the greatest ending in history with Logan. That’s not something we should undo.'”

I know Fox, not Disney, produced Logan but killing off/retiring the fan favorite characters and him not wanting them to come back might help explain why the Marvel movies are now "underperforming."
I got a warning when I clicked on your link so I didn't read that article, but the ones I read the other day about the conversation between Feige and Jackman made it sound like it had happened a long time ago, before Deadpool & Wolverine was happening.

In anticipation of DP3, here's a pretty cool Wolverine fanfilm, with a viking take on Logan.
And in true Marvel style, there's a mid credit scene.

Was it so necessary?
I can’t quite explain why it hit me so negatively…
…but it did…

Plus;
Bill Withers???
Ok, shutting up now…I am afraid I am the only one who is offended…

Speaking of Fandango, they released this fun interview:

While there's nothing revelatory, Reynolds, Jackman, and Levy stress the importance of not just the conflicting relationship between Deadpool and Wolverine, but also the strong friendship between the three of them, as well as remaining true and protective of Jackman's Wolverine.

"Huh. Paul Rudd finally aged."

I guess that that definitely answers the question as to whether or not that is the skeleton of Lang or Pym in the movie. Although that just confirms what someone on the internet determined, I think it was Eric Voss at New Rockstars, and that was that the teeth of the Giant Ant-Man corpse matches Paul Rudd's teeth.

And that final line? Watch out, Scorsese! Shots fired!:techman:
