Some irony there.Crying? No. Star Trek just isn't that important.
I think they look shit. There's no need to be so defensive over something you didn't actually work on yourself.

My wife, who is watching this bin fire of a show, has just shown me a picture of a Ferenghi and a Breen.
Absolute nightmare fuel.
You have an odd definition of Nightmare fuel. Neither would give me nightmares, there's way scarier looking aliens in Trek.
Remans, Fek'hiri, Nausicaans, Jem'hadar, some of the DSC Season 1 Klingon designs.
Why spend energy complaining about a show you apparently don't even watch? The dreadful redesign of the Klingons have been mentioned before, so I won't go over them again for fear of being accused of "crying about them". But none of the races you mentioned are particularly scary either.

Deep sea diver drowns in bath tub irony, not rain on your wedding day irony.

Life is too short to be so mad about a tv show.

NahThe redesign of the Ferenghi is absolutely dreadful.
"Nightmare fuel" is a pretty colorful description. It's going to get comments. All I did was post a comment about the design of Disco Ferenghi and Breen.
And miss out on an Alanis Morrissette joke? Never! You are literally shouting into the void here mate. Move past it.
About as bad as this respellingThe redesign of the Ferenghi is absolutely dreadful.
Hey some of us like it better, imagine that. It's not that important though!Crying? No. Star Trek just isn't that important.

I preferred the reimagining. They toned it down the next season and that really should have quieted down the much ado about nothing nonsense.I generally like Discovery but season one kind of pissed me off with the re-imaging of the Klingons. For decades the Klingons had a very specific look. Wildly different hair styles, Now all of a sudden they don't have hair. and they have claws? from 1979 until the end of Enterprise Every Klingon had fingernails. What were they thinking trying to re-image the Klingons?
It was a nice alien look.I preferred the reimagining. They toned it down the next season and that really should have quieted down the much ado about nothing nonsense.
