Kind of like being a parent.
Yeah, but my kids grew up.

As a parent I think that's a pretty sad way to view parentingKind of like being a parent.
The relationship then stopped being one of a parent then? Asking for a friend?Yeah, but my kids grew up.
Depends. As a parent I think that's a pretty sad way to view parenting

Well now I'm confused because you just likened parenting to this:People think parenting is an arduous process, constantly put upon, but I see it as an opportunity for growth at every turn.
]Man, I would hate to be God. Whiny people asking for help, non-stop, over things they should be able to handle on their own.
Indeed, yes. Because that's how it starts. It starts out as a challenge. While I love my kids, it is challenging to feel demanded upon, at times whined at, by your children. But, and here's the magic of parenting-it doesn't stay that way. It grows, and evolves, and changes in dynamic as their abilities increase, and develop.Well now I'm confused because you just likened parenting to this:
Yes, yes. Interesting. It is a different relationship. I have to look at them as adults and as people very capable of making their own decisions.

Actually, I'm mocking you in general. You're a sad little man who lacks the self-awareness possessed by a damp rock. But you do little old incel you.
The only bit that was fully intended as helpful, and you completely missed the point as usual, was about prayer. I should have known I was dealing with a self-proclaimed expert on the subject. A pity you have such a superficial grasp of the subject.
Keep on creeping, Creepo. Good luck steering clear of restraining orders. We're done.
Hopefully you're not good in the "the knives aren't evenly sharpened" sense and not the "oops, I cut myself by accident again" sense.Hand-sharpening knives is relaxing, meditative work, but I'm not actually good at it.
The former, usually.Hopefully you're not good in the "the knives aren't evenly sharpened" sense and not the "oops, I cut myself by accident again" sense.
Nice. I need to learn this skill, especially for my axes and other farm equipment.Hand-sharpening knives is relaxing, meditative work, but I'm not actually good at it.
I am grateful for all my bosses who have been willing to teach me through my mistakes (and I've made a shit ton, including recently).Had a boss that liked to ask his staff, "Why did you make that mistake?" There's no way to respond to this. Whatever you say, he'd just go, "That's just an excuse."
I'm glad to no longer have this person for a boss.

This is news?I love how we have to keep reedifying what makes humans different from other animals, because every time we come up with something we think only we do, someone stumbles across an animal doing it.
