The first one did. And he was the Captain. People coming in cold figured he would last until the final reel, while assuming the unknown-at-the-time Sigourney Weaver was some exotic occupation.

Then there was Dallas in AVP2: WTF. A worthless homage I barely noticed as the film was so darkly bad from start to finish.

Michael Fassbender, like Tom Skerritt, is the technical male lead for COVENANT, though in a double-role.

As in RESURRECTION? That moment seems to have inspired a short story in ALIENS: BUG HUNT titled Hugs to Die For in which a mass of neutered facehuggers becomes a kamikaze army in order to free normal facehuggers within nearby captured eggs. In order to break out, three facehuggers literally sacrifice themselves by lining up in triangular form so their fellow neuters can break out by smashing their limbs, shooting acid all over, then getting to the normal eggs. It's rather wild.

I mean, it's also a pretty big assumption that she's going to be playing a buff warrior and not some other role. Or maybe she's taking the Topher Grace uses small size and brains to kill route, not the Adrien Brody skinny guy gets ripped route. Or they're not worried about size, Amber Midthunder wasn't a block of muscles.
