Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

When it could have been Ent-E at Frontier Day, Seven gets command of the Ent-F, and in Legacy, Seven could have been given command of the Ent-G. Just time skip a decade later for the latter.

Man, you gotta have a death wish to serve on an Enterprise.

I just pictured a row of cadets pissing their pants and crying when they find out they've been assigned to the Enterprise.

Apparently the Excelsior class Hood is the ship to serve on. It’s still in service in 2380, like 100 years after it was built.

It's tough to be on the main ship. All the shit goes down there.

Another reason why the 1701 was the best. She survived 40 years in the golden age of exploration.

The Big E kind of lucked out a bunch of times, and also got a massive refit that basically made it an entirely new ship like halfway through it's life.

Well, it also dealt a lot of damage and saw the death of several of its sister ships.

1701 ftw

If one looks at the three as one ship, it is interesting...

What exactly was held over from Pike's original to Kirk's version, and what was held over from either to the Constitution-refit?

It starts to feel like they are three distinct ships sharing the same registry.

Actually states somewhere or a guess?
My usual flippant guess.

Based on the information that it is a duotronic system, as illustrated in Discovery, so I figured the computer core is the same, and then they rebuilt around it based on mission specs.

But, ridiculous guess is ridiculous.

I wonder what a complete overhaul entails? As Spock claims that is necessary to excise the lustful computer voice from "Tomorrow is Yesterday".

SPOCK: I have investigated it, Captain. To correct the fault will require an overhaul of the entire computer system and a minimum of three weeks at a Starbase.

If this is any indication as to what this supposed Star Trek: Legacy will be like, I can't say it sounds too appealing. It really will be Member Berries: The Series.
I'm in the same boat. The further away we get from Picard season 3, the less I want anything to do with Legacy. I tire of people gushing with praise for it and for Saint Matalas the Overrated. And I don't care for the "True Trek" section of the fanbase the season emboldened that Matalas himself encouraged either.

Yep. At this point Legacy just sounds like the most predictable series ever. We'll get 10 episodes filled to the brim with fan wank.

Episode 1: The Q Episode

Episode 2: The DS9 Episode

Episode 3: The Voyager Reunion

Episode 4: Family Visit (insert Picard, Crusher, or LaForge)

Episode 5: Time Travel!

Episode 6: Riker shows up

Episode 7: Klingon Episode

Episode 8: Captain Shaw Flashback Episode

Episode 9: Avengers rip off. Everyone shows up. Part 1

Episode 10: Avengers rip off. Everyone shows up. Part 2 plus Q
