Up until 2022 I would have said Picard. But now that Strange New Worlds has taken over as my favorite Trek production, I gotta say Pike is my captain. He cooks for his crew, and everyone knows the fastest way to raise morale is via the stomach.

Yeah, but Sisko was stuck on a space station at war. I would much prefer being stationed on the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE, and actually be out there boldly going places.

While it didn't happen a great deal, there was exploration in the Gamma Quadrant. ("MERIDIAN", "BAR ASSOCIATION", and "CHILDREN OF TIME" to name a few, and that doesn't include all the times on a runabout. All before the war.)

But the real exploration on DS9 was not without... it was within. Boldly exploring inwardly, and challenging the utopia of the Federation we were told in TNG.

But I like exploring new worlds, too, and Pike is just as good a choice as anyone else for whatever your reasons.

Kirk is the best, unquestionably. Janeway is kinda like a female version of Kirk, in some ways, so...she's my favorite female captain

It’s actually hard to say. The Captain’s I grew up with were Kirk, Picard and Sisko, but my favourite overall is Archer.

This is accurate in so many ways given some of the decisions Janeway made.

I would prefer to serve under Picard. I'd prefer to be Kirk, but I probably am... Sisko.

I would agree with that about Picard. Enterprise D felt like a well oiled machine. He's probably objectively the best captain we've ever seen but Kirk is the most fun.
