Law & Order General Discussion Thread

Organized Crime's sixth showrunner is.... Ozark's John Shiban. He was the EP on that show for its final three seasons. He was also the showrunner for Hulu's short-lived Shut Eye.

And he worked on the X Files.

He seems like a good pick.

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent

law-and-order-toronto-criminal-intent-cast.webp

Aden Young (Rectify, Reckoning) as Detective Sergeant Henry Graff
Kathleen Munroe (FBI, Patriot) as Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman
Karen Robinson (Pretty Hard Cases, Titans) as Inspector Vivienne Holness
K.C. Collins (Lost Girl, The Strain) as Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester

The L&O wiki has two more:

NIcole Correia-Damuda as Forensic Pathologist Dr. Lucy da Silva
Araya Mengesha as Tech Expert Mark Yohannes

And there's at least one 'repeat offender' in the Toronto cast: Kathleen Munroe has appeared on L&O before (she's done episodes of SVU and OC).

Does anyone know why Chicago Justice is the only Chicago show not available on Peacock?

It can't be because the show was cancelled, because Peacock has plenty of other cancelled shows available to watch.

I can't finish the warehouse fire arc (which began with Fire's "Deathtrap" and middled with PD's "Emotional Proximity") because it ends in an episode of Justice! :brickwall:

This is the arc where Olinsky's daughter is killed, BTW.

I'm thinking it's rights related. But it's really insane.

How the hell could it be that? NBC owns Peacock! How could they be prevented from airing their own series on their own network?

Fucking lawyers. Always the enemy of common sense.

And I'm still wondering what's up with Chicago Justice. Yes, yes, we all know the show wa cancelled after only one season. But this can't be the reason Peacock doesn't carry it, since they have plenty of OTHER shows that didn't last...

Edit: Just heard that Joanna Merlin (L&O's Judge Lena Petrovsky) has died... :(

Any veteran L&O characters you want to see come back to fill the detective vacancy, who would cost less than Jeff Goldblum? Is Chris Noth out of social media jail yet?

Easiest replacement to stick into the show on short notice would probably be Kelli Giddish if she's available and willing.

^ After being unceremoniously booted from SVU, you don't really think she'd be all that eager to return, do you?

Then again, it is a different show...

Me, I'd much rather they get Molly Burnett back. I heart Muncy.

OC will be introducing....

Elliot's brothers, Randall and Joe Jr.
