Law & Order General Discussion Thread

Stabler is going undercover as a ghost to bring her back from the afterlife.

:guffaw:

Didn't mind this weeks eps.

Only bits that bugged me were that giant American Flag they showed in a scene (that whole garish propaganda thing is an issue that I have with all 3 shows) and the serial killer clip show in OC. Could do without either of those.

Liked the EO interactions, some good one liners.

Writing is still nowhere near 1.0, but at least it was tolerable.

I'm wondering why Rollins is suddenly an ace criminal profiler six months after leaving the NYPD, and why did she rush to a crime scene to deliver her profile to Stabler and Benson instead of, I don't know, shooting them an email or something?

Exactly. It was nonsense. You'd think she'd do that. But I don't try to think much into these shows these days.

Jeffrey Donovan has much better chemistry with Mehcad Brooks than he did with Anthony Anderson, I'll give him that.

I'm happy they've developed his character some. Standing next to Anderson, he was a hothead. Now he has more layers and doesn't fly off the handle at the drop of a hat.

Did they just open up two doors on two different shows for Rollins to return?

Also, for you SVU regular viewers, is McGrath always this terrible of a police chief and human being?

McGrath has essentially assumed the role of "combative police higher-up" that John Schuck's character, Ed Tucker and (for a while) Chief Dodds did, yes.

Terry Serpico is the Vaughn Armstrong of the L&O world. (McGrath is like his 12th role in that universe.)

John Doman has him beat with thirteen different roles. (And Michael O'Keefe has to be pretty high up there, too.)

Edit: And Serpico has only had nine different roles.

So Roger Cross and Lexa Doig as the detectives, Rob Stewart as the captain and Stephen Lobo as the crown attorney?

I wondered how long it would take for L&O to come to Canada. :D

srsly, I’m visiting Toronto right now and I can’t wait to see what they do with it! :techman:

@Aragorn, Roger Cross has already done L&O. He was in the SVU ep “Garland’s Baptism by Fire”.
