Law & Order General Discussion Thread

I'll take "way out of left field" for a thousand, Alex.

Not really sure how it's out of left field. It's established in SVU that he has two sisters and three brothers, and his childhood and the children's upbringing by Joe Sr. is kind of a driving point of the Brotherhood arc in the second season of Organized Crime.

If anyone watches the FBI shows, Most Wanted dumped Alexa Davalos. Now they're replacing her with Shantel VanSanten, who had a run on the mothership filling in for Missy Peregrym.

I don't watch the shows, but if Ion is airing FBI and I'm working, I'll use it for background noise. It seems like a cut above the standard procedural. Did try to watch Most Wanted when Dylan McDermott took over, and holy crap is the writing awful.

Apart from Tracy Spiridakos' brief appearance on FBI (as Hailey Upton) is there anything that actually ties FBI to the L&O/Chicago universe?

If there was a true crossover, would that violate any rules of canon?

A blog tells me Spiridakos is the only connection.

While we're at it, doesn't OC have to cast Elias Koteas as one of Stabler's brothers?

I like the new detective on the mothership (Riley?). I already miss Cosgrove though.

Too bad he got jammed up just for having an opinion. I wonder if we'll ever find out what it was.

As for the episode itself: Did not much care for all that Palestine crap but I suppose an episode like that was inevitable. At least they got it out of the way.

Edit: About the ending:

Not surprised the prof was found not guilty. There's no way to prove whether she intentionally told the kid to murder the university prez, or specifically gave him the knife as opposed to him taking it. And if the prof HAD been found guilty, she would become a martyr, and possibly worse things could have happened.

Hated that episode with a passion. Never rewatching it. It was just strongly racist and biased. (Not saying anything else, but it truly disgusted, offended and repulsed me.)
