Spoilers AHSOKA series [Spoiler Discussion]

I found the end of the fight a bit hasty. Like all of a sudden she's got his saber. They needed a scene where she Forces his grip open or something.

Although it wasn't clearly shown, I saw it as sort of an aiki move where she used his own momentum to disarm him and turn the tables. Ahsoka wasn't going to 'brute force' anything against Anakin.

Those Imperial cadets are basically 14 or 15 years old, and are training to become stormtroopers. Wedge is at an elite flight academy. He's probably around Sabine's age. He's been a pilot prior to being recruited by the Empire.

Wedge appearing in Rebels is one thing I with Filoni would have left alone. Mike Stackpole gave Wedge a very good, very fitting backstory that did not include him ever being an Imperial. It was told in "The Phantom Affair" comic arc and fleshed out in the book series, describing his past relationships with Booster and Mirax Terrik.

Of course, all that is part of Legends now, but still. Wishful thinking on my part.

You'd have to go skimming through wookipedia for it, but I'm pretty sure the basic gist of Wedge's old backstory has been alluded to in canon media. Now it's just a little more streamlined and has the added wrinkle of his being briefly recruited into an Imperial Academy before defecting into the rebellion. None of that rules out any connection to the Terriks. Indeed I'm almost certain the Errant Venture has even been mentioned somewhere too.

That may be. So many Rebel pilots were Imperial defectors, though. I always liked to imagine 'everyman' Wedge as someone who had no Imperial background or training, but just an assload of raw flying talent sprinkled with some good fortune.

Repurposed ISD as a moving trade port would be very amusing to see.
Indeed.

Well if they were all like Luke, then that really wouldn't make his skills all that special, would it?
Honestly it makes sense that the majority of the rebellion's combat pilots are either clone war veterans, or defected Imperial Cadets. I mean where else is anyone likely to get combat flight training other then the Imperial Naval Academies? Had Wedge not gone to the Academy before joining the Alliance, it's more likely he would have ended up flying GR-75s, given his background. A U-Wing pilot if he was lucky.

It would also make sense that Naval campuses would be prime recruiting territory for Alliance agents. Why go to all the risk and expense of setting up flight schools to get bush pilots trained up to military standard when you can just let the Empire do the heavy lifting, and skim off their disillusioned conscripts?

Plus, then it ascribes the Rebellion's victory to raw luck as well. Or the Force I suppose.

But, I like the defector storyline too, showing the Empire losing its grip even on trainees.

Remember it was Wedge that thought the plan to torpedo the exhaust port was impossible, even for the computer, that Luke started talking up his time bulls-eyeing womp rats back home. That mixed with Biggs' praise of young Skywalker (with maybe a tinge of nostalgia from Red Leader of the legend of Anakin Skywalker) got Luke the task of backup impossible shot runner after Red Leader's run. The Y-wings being designed for this task, but well Vader.

My head cannon is that Midichlorians eat force, or eats something else that nestles in gluts or concentrations of the Force.... Um isn't that Hepatitis piggybacking on AIDS? In the beginning they were tracking AIDS using Hepatitis tests and Hepatitis historical data.

Jedi are slaves.

The only evidence we have of a Jedi retiring is Dooku (in the good old days), and quite frankly Dooku is proof positive for exactly why a Jedi has to stick to the path, til death, or else.

Although living a "normal" life should put some Funk into your Jedi Skills, if you don't stick to the correct diet (if what you eat, is what the midichlorians eat?) and meditate 8 hours a day.

Similar to a professional basketball player eating at Burger King 5 times a day.

The Force seems to be a use it or lose it type of skill. The more you use it the easier it gets, while if you don't use it regularly, you forget how, or it takes a lot of effort to use. See how hard it was for Obi-wan to use the Force after about a decade of suppressing it in order to hide from the Empire. Look how tired Grogu gets every time he uses the Force up until after he has gotten some more training with Luke. After that refresher course, Grogu seems to be able to use the Force a lot more regularly and without getting tired. I wonder if Luke hadn't cut himself of from the Force for years after Kylo Ren was made if he would have survived his Force Projection in The Last Jedi.

Ahsoka seems to have been keeping busy since she became Fulcrum, as she has little to no issue with her Force powers. What she was doing during the OT is still a mystery, though I wonder if she managed to make it back to Lothal shortly after the Battle of Lothal and spent her time trying to train Sabine, only for the Purge of Mandalore to end their training. Ahsoka walked away, but then did what? Obviously she was no longer on Vader's radar as he was busy hunting Luke. And also obviously, she wasn't training Luke, nor did Obi-wan, nor Yoda, consider that a possibility. Possibly because of her issues with Ankain being Vader closed her off for a bit emotionally. She could still have been running the Empire around as Fulcrum. Keeping whatever the Empire was getting ready away from Lothal, allowing the Rebellion to use that planet for stuff. Likely building new starfighters. Maybe even the Alliances' training academy. Be a good source for new pilots for General Syndulla until they can get their hands on some giant capital ship they could use as a mobile academy.

AIDS is a syndrome not a virus, so...no.
In the 80s, they figured that 90 percent of the people who had AIDS, also had Hepatitis. Almost non existent testing for AIDS piggybacked on decades of catalogued national Testing for Hepatitis, which created a clearer vision about what was happening, where it was happening and how fast it was happening, even if a virus is not a syndrome, paperwork is still paperwork.

A couple years ago, in Doctor Strange comics, they started claiming that Stephens' refrigerator was an extra-dimensional zoo. He has to eat weird stuff to be ready to do weird spells.

The Mayor in Buffy had to do the same thing, he had to eat a universe of giant man eating spiders out of a magic TARDIS box, to become indestructible.

AIDS was the syndrome people developed from having HIV, which is a virus.

Not something I usually keep track of, but apparently Hasbro are having some kind of live event on the 22nd, so I suspect during that they'll be announcing the back half of the Ahsoka line; aka the spoilery ones like Ahsoka the White, Live action Snips, Clone Wars Hayden and whoever the hell Amos is playing.
