Spoilers AHSOKA series [Spoiler Discussion]

I still like the in-joke of Huyang arriving in a blue box. Like he might not have been built by the Jedi, just kind of appeared shortly after the Jedi formed.

So when you’re always the only one laughing at your jokes, do you conclude that it’s because you’re the only one with a sense of humor?

I don't care if you find the jokes funny, but I don't need two different people telling me that Disney isn't actually noting the difference between hate-watching and watching-watching on their internal viewership metrics.

I mean, the fact that you didn't recognize that a joke is an issue, not that you didn't find it funny.

But this exchange has been fairly amusing, in an unintentional kind of way. So there's that....

There presently is an animated show set in the era of the High Republic. I know it's aimed at younger children, and I only watched the first episode in order to hear Tom Kane's replacement as Yoda, but it still canon, right? An appearance from Huyang would seem a natural fit.
Yeah, I'm honestly surprised he wasn't included as a member of the core cast, since that was basically the idea for Lucas's youngling CW spin-off.

Well, to be fair, we don't need this exchange at all.

But, then what would we do? Talk about Ahsoka?

I am fairly certain there will be a lot to talk about in roughly 30 hours. Hopefully Ahsoka getting closure with her master Anakin Skywalker, and us getting some Clone Wars flashbacks in live action. Then maybe catch up with Sabine and also Hera.

To quote Luke Skywalker, "This is not going to go the way you think."

;)

According to leaks/rumours in Episode 5
we're going to get live action Clone Wars flashbacks in the WBW, featuring the Battle of Teth, the Siege of Mandalore and a scene set set on Ryloth. Young Ahsoka is allegedly played by Ariana Greenblatt.

There was allegedly going to be a 'What if' scene of Ahsoka and Anakin fighting on Mustafar, but it was cut.

You know I'm probably going to regret pointing this out since it may spark a tediously inevitable discussion about the place of Earth within the Star Wars universe* . . . but I'm pretty sure that's the Horsehead Nebula clearly visible in voidspace.

I'm guessing that's either a deliberate sneaky easter egg, or someone on the VFX crew vastly underestimated how recognisable that image would be when they sourced "misc spacey images" to fill out the background in this shot.

* I'll save you all the time and just say; nowhere. Star Wars is a fairly tale fantasy with space ships, not sci-fi. Earth does not, and should not factor into it.

Considering the best Star Wars story of all time has Han and Chewie crashing on Earth and Chewie becoming Bigfoot, I'd say Earth absolutely should factor into it.

Also, Lando introduced Luke to hot chocolate.

I was going to rewatch The World Between Worlds episode of Rebels before the show tonight, but pivoted at the last minute and decided to watch the Clone Wars Mortis arc instead. Maybe I'll have time for both.

Here's a fun exercise for a Mortis rewatch: assume literally everything you're seeing is a metaphor and try and discern the underlying meaning. You might be surprised about the layers buried in there, particularly about Ahsoka.

Leia was mentioned. Still no Luke yet though. They must be saving him for the final episode.
Pretty enjoyable episode. Reminded me of TNG's Tapestry. The flashbacks were good. It gave us a pretty clear indication how young Ashoka was during the Clone Wars. Girl did a better job portraying her than Rosario. :)
The clothing Ashoka wears isn't very subtle. She's Ashoka the White now. Hopefully that means she's a bit more upbeat now. Dawson finally gives her some personality.
I was thinking since the last episode that they should just ride the back of one of those whales to get to Galaxy B. Star Wars must have some very of a hyperdrive integrity field. Just expand it over the whale.

Just some speculation on my part, but when Ahsoka gets done with her little side tip to the Space Between Worlds, logically, she could get the Purgil to take her to Thrawn/Ezera through the force. Ezera did it, why couldn't she? All she has to do is to convey through the force "take me home" and they could do the rest. I mean, really, they already know the way and know where they're going. Just need some prompting to "go home".
I guess I called it. Pretty damn good episode, really liked the flashbacks to the Clone Wars.

Now cometh Ahsoka the White. I almost lost my shit watching Ahsoka and Anakin interact. Hayden's de-aging looked much better here. Plus, we got live action Rex and little Ahsoka. My cup runneth over. Little Ahsoka looked perfect, right down to her headdress. I noticed they deliberately avoided showing any clones faces though. And both of those Clone Wars segments were from actual arcs on the show. Amazing.
