Viper's miscellaneous Star Trek projects

Ok, I'll do a proper write up later!

I had to resize all the windows I had cut so far cause it wasn't making sense on engineering hull compared to the miniature. But I managed to get them all done today. Also added the photo torpedo launchers. There's only a few things missing now. I didn't hit my target of getting the modelling done this week, but I should be able to before the end of the month. Anyway, renders!

It looks like you resized them… smaller? Man, if so it makes the ship look absolutely massive.

That's correct. I use 60cm diameter for the round windows on all my ships, but that was too large for the Excelsior. I had to go down to 40cm for it to match the miniature. This is just because I want to have an accurate version of the ship, otherwise I would have adjusted the window layout to use the larger ones. I still might do that as a second version. We'll see.

To no pollute the other thread, thought I'd create a new one for my side projects, that are actually quite a few. Long post ahead, and several images, so be warned.

Don't put any textures on these! If the UFO reports are correct, this is the direction that spaceships are moving in!

On the raised part of the command module behind the bridge dome there is a Tylenol-shaped porthole (the one that’s forward of the circular port) that has something weird going on. Is that an odd reflection in the “transparent aluminum” or is it something going on behind the glass?

Just weird shadows. I have not yet done proper interiors for that area. Will do later.
