You know what?
* They created creatures that are born pregnant, invented by a guy who ran around in his underwear.
* They declared that ghosts are whatever-phasic lifeforms that want to get in your pants.
* They had women on a planet go from chattel to full equals overnight.
* They had two people turn into salamanders and get all better.
* They had a planet with one lifeform on it that looked like... something that gets discussed in those middle school lessons where the boys and girls go into seperate classrooms.
* They had a space mushroom transwarp drive.
* They had a dog that could talk and fly and turn into stuff.
* They had an alternate universe where a non-Borg Seven of Nine was basically Empress of mankind.
* They had two people swap bodies over a phaser beam.
* And they created a technobabble explanation not just why everyone on the Enterprise was singing, but why that had to do a grand finale number complete with K-pop Klingons.

If Trek's writers want to create a convincing explanation for Spock and Chapel living happily ever after... they'll find a way.

Sure. The issue isn't the length of time Christine will be gone for the fellowship -- the issue is how her treatment of Spock will impact their relationship, and whether or not she falls for Roger Korby.
You're ignoring why I said that in the first place; JCarlA worrying that Chapel was leaving the show.

Both end up with double doses of heartbreak. Christine never has what she wants with Spock, loses the real Korby and then watches as an android replica of Roger perishes before her very eyes and Spock loses both T'Pring and also Christine at least insofar as she can be a romantic partner. And on top of that Spock has to experience falling in love with Leila Kalomi - and old flame - and then having those feelings ripped away when he's freed from alien biochemical influence.

I was really late to to watch this one. I loved it, but I love musicals... I expect without catching up that this one is divisive.

I dont' feel it necessarily revealed much new or surprising for the characters so didn't feel like Once More With Feeling which more substantially moved their arcs along.

But I did love it, wished it was longer. Klingon bit was probably a step too far, but brief.

LOVED the bunnies nod to Buffy.

I really think they should of had a end credits scene of a lurking Borg cube picking up the signal and bursting into song.

Dancing drones? Borg beats? Borg Queen doing "Dancing Queen"? "Thriller" assimilation tubules?

VOY already completely defanged the Borg, so I guess why stop there?

Let's make the Borg do disco, because the terror and threat of the Borg died about as quickly as disco did in the U.S.
