Spoilers What other "special episodes" do you want to see on SNW?

Haven't read the whole thread, so no idea if this has been mentioned so far, but a murder mystery episode could be fun. Really lean into the tropes. Lavish location shooting, Rashomon style flashbacks, an enigmatic detective, and an eccentric cast of guest stars. Hell, you could even bring in some of the old Trek regulars for your guest cast like Combs, Hertzler, Cromwell, etc.

Just finished watching TOS “The Deadly Years”. I’d like to see an episode where Pike has to deal with some pompous Ambassador, jerky High Commissioner or out of his depth Commodore that can over rule Pikes orders as captain.

I absolutely adore Stargate's 100. and 200. episode about the "Wormhole X-Treme" television show.

200 of course being a vignette episode set around ideas for a movie/tvshow.

You could have something along the line of a FNN producer wanting to do a documentary about starfleet and perhaps the enterprise. Have short clips (animated, whatif, crime noir)

At the end they could show something based on the original series tv set, possibly even a couple of generic clips from the original series with the original Spock/Uhura/Chapel. Mention something about the budget not being high enough to reproduce the ship's look precisely, but the actors are likely to make the voyages go down in history (or some other nod)

I'd love to see a some kinda flashback episode to the first mission of The Enterprise. It would be awesome to see her actual launch and see Robert April in command. It could be done in a way in which something from the "present" is connected to something from that first mission. And we see how throughout the episode.

You have a "Warping between Systems" day off, and show the whole crew, each gets like 5-10 minutes to tell a story. And NO, repeat NO emergency, or anything to get them together.
Think of the Voyager VOID Episode, but with no villians dumping radiation or nocturnal aliens. Just have them warping the whole time, and have small stories.

Rankin-Bass style animation

or an episode similar to Eureka's "Do You See What I See?" where the town of Eureka is turned into various cartoon designs, we can see the enterprise crew turned into cartoons again.

But honestly I would love them to do a mirror universe (Similar to In a Mirror, Darkly, and the other Mirror universe episodes) episode like every other season where we can see Mirror Pike get assassinated by Mirror Kirk and his quelling of the Gorlan Uprising.

Stop motion puppetry. Cmon you know you want it.

Hopefully including an actual shark to jump over.

I’d love to see what Capt. Ron Tracey was like as a starship captain before he went off the deep in in “The Omega Glory”.
Him and Matt Decker both. They seemed like well experienced Starfleet captains. (also for them to confirm once and for all that Decker is Will Decker's father.)
Also since we know that both the Constellation and the Exeter are Constitution-class starships, I wonder if Starfleet had them sit out the Klingon War like they did the Enterprise.

There’s a part of me that wants a “crew gets turned into puppets” episode like the classic hilarious Angel one, and another part that knows that veers too much into ridiculous jump-the-shark territory.

Just thinking of Stargate's marionette sketch where they all lose their strings after going the the stargate still makes me giggle.
