I can't put the damn soundtrack down. It's now my go-to when I'm listening in the car. I go to bed at night with "Status Report" in my head.

And I'll also throw this out. Now that it's known that Spock's romance with Chapel won't be mentioned in his biography, he and Christine may just decide that, to protect the timeline,... wait for it... they keep any future romantic involvement on the down low. There's literally no reason why they can't eventually get back together, even in the TOS movie era, if not before.

But Christine doesn't base her reaction on Boimler's intelligence, just on the fact that he knows future stuff that she doesn't.
And she has enough doubt in her own mind for that info to play on.

Pacing, probably. Just because they don't have the 43m time limit anymore doesn't mean they don't keep an eye on the clock, and also make sure the episode isn't dragging. A competent editor knows when to tighten things.
Probably for the best.

By "a lot" I mean a Whole Fucking Lot. By a Whole Fucking Lot I mean, like, everything. His job on LD is literally to have everything going on around him explained by people who have any clue at all.
He'd read Spock's autobiography with preposterously ideal notions of the man in his head and miss every scrap of subtext that didn't fit his preconceived ideas.
