Yes.It's both.
In the closed captions it was "I'm the ex" the first time the line was sung and "I'm the X" thereafter.
I believe part of the point of living in musical reality being a problem was that it was compelling people to do and say things that they wouldn't if they were behaving rationally all because of the rules of theatrical drama.Consistent, yes that is true. But she could have broke it off with him in a less disrespectful way. That goes against her established feelings and friendship with Spock.

It was also a point that these drama driven musical outbursts that stressed/broke/exposed pike's, spock's, and la'an's "relationships" didn't hold a candle to the potency of collaboratively coming together to sing in unison.
True but if she wasn't in musical reality she could have given a rational explanation like "he's busy with the subspace fold" it was musical reality that compelled the most emotionally heavy responce, in both of them. The songs didn't compel her to not tell Spock at all, while just about everyone else already knew. She decided that on her own before Spock even went to the bar and he deduced her news.
At the end of the finale, when they are laughing, I wonder if that is the actual reaction of the cast.
That's why we have the CD, "Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back". One track, Brent is accompanied by The Sunspots (Patrick, Jonathan, LeVar and Michael).

YES. Status Report has taken up the space where the Klingon K-Pop band has not (though they are pushing against that front, as Klingons do). Harmonically speaking, it's sublime.I've had several of the songs in my head all day today. All systems stable (all systems stable) (all systems stable)
