Spoilers Season 2 Preview Images and Videos Thread

An accident while investigating a time portal sends Ensigns Beckett Mariner and Bradward Boimler through time from the 24th century, and Captain Pike and his crew must get them back where they belong before they can alter the timeline.

This episode could be messy. If Boimler lets slip in front of Spock that he knows about him from his time, Spock will now be sacrificing himself at the Battle of the Mutara Nebula knowing full well he will somehow be resurrected.

It'd be hilarious if Boilmer asks the bizarre questions fans like me ask on here, asking Pike point blank "So what happened to Dr. Boyce anyway?" and asking M'Benga, "So what do you do that gets you demoted from chief medical officer 5 years from now?"

Unlike Star Wars, the books and comics are not considered canon nor are the showrunners/writers required to consult with them first.

Screen Trek, be it movies or small screen, always is the only thing that is held fairly firm

My only question is...why would Boimler poke Pike to see if he's a hologram and deduce that he isn't because he's solid? Since when do holograms in the 24th century not pass as solid objects?

Yeah but that's not written by the show writers.

I never claimed that IDW comics were canon (although you might want to check with the writer who apparently has been going around conventions claiming as such: https://redshirtsalwaysdie.com/2022...mics-starting-with-an-homage-to-the-watchmen/ )

But that doesn't mean that the tv shows can't ever use any idea from the comics ever again. Yeesh, talk about taking my comments out of context.

If I ever reference anything from licensed works here, I throw in I KNOW IT'S NOT CANON because people really love to remind you if you so much as mention a comic or novel.
