”Paul McCartney was out having dinner at the River Cafe with Stella the other night when he suddenly looked like he was about to pass out. Waiting staff were concerned for his health as he was helped out to his car, but everyone was soon able to breathe a sigh of relief as Stella discreetly explained to a member of staff what had happened.
Harrison Ford was also dining at the restaurant that night and he'd beckoned Paul over during the meal. The pair managed to slip away briefly as Harrison had a joint in his pocket and wanted to share it with his old pal, Paul.
Alas it had proved a tad strong. McCartney hadn't collapsed ill at all - he'd just pulled a whitey.”
Ford was supposedly a roadie for the doors in the late 60s (around the time of the new movie) and this purports to be a pic with him and Jim Morrison in the same frame. https://twitter.com/crockpics/status/1630545601732702209?s=46&t=4gRLv-uovddel5zbS4TQ9gPaul smoking weed with Harrison Ford blows my mind.
They missed the opportunity to release a 007 movie in 2007, so I don’t think that this anniversary will be quite so important to them.Admittedly I'm attached to the 2026 theory for purely silly reasons, I can just see the promotional side milking the ever-living hell out of "introducing the first new James Bond in twenty years!"
Casino Royale was 2006, so unless they’d filmed the two back-to-back, I don’t think that was ever going to happen. I don’t think they have released Bond movies in successive years since the first few. After Thunderball, it moved to every other year.Didn't they want to try to get Quantum of Solace into theatres for 2007 but ultimately couldn't pull it off because of Craig's schedule? I swear I remember hearing something like that years ago.
The last time they released films in successive years was Roger Moore's first two, but even then there was an 18-month gap (LALD opened in the U.S. in June 1973, TMWTGG opened just before Christmas in 1974). Unlike the early Connery ones, where they released on a pretty regular annual basis (Dr. No in October 1962, FRWL in October 1963, Goldfinger in September 1964, and Thunderball in December 1965).Casino Royale was 2006, so unless they’d filmed the two back-to-back, I don’t think that was ever going to happen. I don’t think they have released Bond movies in successive years since the first few. After Thunderball, it moved to every other year.
It helps that Disney is a well-oiled machine, while MGM seems to be eternally in dire financial straits, even pre-pandemic.A movie every three years should be doable. It's on average how much time there is between each movie in the individual MCU series, at least prior to the pandemic anyway.
I doubt that. I can't see EON or MGM (or is it Sony now) being willing to forgo the profits from more Bond films.Honestly, there's the real possibly Jimmy drank his last martini.
