Dune Part 2 2023 (24, 25, 26...)

If only everyone could agree what is good and what is evil, yet it seems they cannot. However, that discussion is not appropriate to this thread nor to this forum.

Pepperoni, bacon, extra cheese, oregano, basil, garlic (powder over the pizza, or some butter on the crust if you want to get really fancy), maybe some ground chili or cumin, a little hot sauce, little parmesan cheese. Anything more is overkill.

Pineapple is amazing, delicious, a gift from the gods!!!

Pineapple ON PIZZA however.......
Grilled pineapple is wonderful.

And yes I do like pineapple on pizza. With pepperoni.

I will also accept bacon, ham, Canadian bacon, sausage, onions, as well as chicken and BBQ sauce.

Perhaps Duncan Idaho was to Frank Herbert as Tom Bombadil was to J.R.R. Tolkien - the author inserting himself in his own work - whether consciously or unconsciously. I'm not sure that FH wanted to keep churning out Dune novels just to earn a living. He could have felt trapped in his own private Idaho. I wasn't aware of his attitude toward his gay son. It wouldn't surprise me given FH's Catholic upbringing (although lapsed). He might have had unsolicited encounters that formed these views.
By the time the last 3 novels were either in-work or out, Frank and his wife were both dealing with serious medical issues. Cancer is an expensive disease to have, no matter what medical insurance you might have. Those last couple of Dune novels probably paid for a lot of hospital bills and meds.

Let's start with what toppings are acceptable on pizza and see how we do.
Let's not, or a moderator will probably intervene as it's waaay off-topic.

Besides, pizza topping arguments are never resolved the first time around. We've had easily half a dozen such arguments over at Civilization Fanatics forums over the last 20 years and still haven't convinced certain individuals that pizza on pineapple isn't the end of the world.

I don't remember if pizza was ever eaten on Doctor Who, in any episode.

I can't fault FH for writing the latter novels to garner an income nor for supporting Lynch's adaptation of Dune. It must have been a tremendous struggle to write while seriously ill with cancer. His work extends beyond Dune, of course, but it receives much less attention, even when noteworthy.

Apparently, it's considered important enough to have a wiki entry - https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Pizza
have memories of it on a seafood pizza but that was another continent and 30+ years ago.
I could only ever get it at Pizza Express in the UK. No other pizza chain in the UK appears to do any kind of seafood pizza option. The Pizza Express version wasn't authentically Italian, but then much Italian pizza isn't authentically Neapolitan.

Apparently, it now has mozzarella, sultanas and pine kernels as toppings. Perhaps the recipe changed or I misremembered. I haven't had one for nearly 20 years. It was extremely salty, so not very healthy.
