My guess is the official announcement will occur at the same time as COMICON since Paramount still plans on attending even though other studios have cancelled their attendance because of the writers strike.

I wouldn't be surprised the announcement for the Prodigy 11-20 boxset will be low-key and Paramount hoping everyone will be paying attention to news about SNW and Lower Decks.

The creators are also going to be at Star Trek Las Vegas. They might use that to announce the Blu Rays. Why would paramount announce it when they cancelled it.

Interestingly, Amazon Canada seems to have taken down their page for the blu-ray of the second half of the season. (When I follow the link from my preorder, it just goes to an error page.) Hopefully it's just a temporary thing so they can update the release date to the new date, or something.

I preordered the series on Amazon. Going to be delivered September 27th. If that's the only way I can revisit Prodigy in my life then so be it. It's a Star Trek series and it deserves to be added to my Trek collection.

Like I said when it was originally announced, these companies who are pulling shows just transported us back in time to when DVDs and Blu Rays were all the rage. It's good to have back ups and not let these companies pull the rug from under you because if their finances go sour, the first to go usually is the content.

Waiting is dangerous. If there is insufficient demand now, the show may just be buried and a complete series release may never come.

That may be the case. I wont wait too long though. I usually get a good vibe on where the wind is blowing. if I get the sense this will be hard to find (even in a place like ebay) moving forward, I may splurge in early, we will see

^I can't promise you what will happen, but Nickelodeon shows are often released in pieces and take many many years to get a complete box set. Also, season one is Nick branded, but presumably season two (if we get it) won't be. Doesn't mean it won't happen, just things to consider.

Got the first 10 episodes Blu Ray today. At least now I will have some Prodigy for posterity. Hopefully the link for the back half of the season will come back and I can preorder that set again.

I'm not exactly sure when it came back, but the page for the blu-ray is now back at Amazon Canada (still showing a September 12 release date, FWIW).
