Update on the Tenoch situation. Contains some explicit details. Elena Ríos has released a statement.

Translated, it reveals it was seen as normal that, to be accepted into the organization run by Tenoch, you had to sleep with him. He would seduce multiple women at a time, usually in vulnerable positions, and discard them after he grew bored.

Isn't a Hulk solo movie already confirmed, or did I just imagine it? Isn't some 'World War Hulk' type of thing what they were setting up with him in She-Hulk? I know I haven't exactly been keeping close track of Marvel news, but I could swear this is already a thing.

It's a reasonable deduction based on what happened in She-Hulk, but no, no movie (or show or whatever else) has been announced yet.

Holy fucking shit, that's disgusting and horrific.

I think it's time Disney ask the FBI or CIA to do detail background checks on any male actor they hire. :cardie:

Do the executives first. Remember, the MeToo movement went viral in response to Harvey Weinstein. The studios probably already vet their actors, since they need to be able to get them insured and so forth, but if the executives in charge are themselves prone to abusive or sexually exploitative behavior (which has historically been a tolerated norm in the industry), they won't see it as a dealbreaker in an actor. I doubt we'd be seeing so many prominent actors accused of this kind of thing if the institution itself weren't already willing to turn a blind eye to it. Twice could be coincidence, but if it keeps happening, there's clearly something more systemic going on.

Yeah, it sounds like Johnathan Major's behavior was common knowledge among the people who knew him, so I have a feeling that probably included the Disney execs, and they just didn't care until it became public knowledge and people got pissed. I have a feeling with most execs, they're happy to turn a blind eye to bad behavior as long as it doesn't effect the company's $$$$ or their public image.

It's sad how some of the people with the most power are the ones who are most likely to abuse it.

So, does that means we're supposed to view him as guilty before there is even a trial?

It's not that I believe he is innocent. It's just that I would rather wait until the trial. Why are people in such a hurry to pass judgement one way or the other?

Because that's the way it is nowadays ... guilty until proven innocent!
