Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

Except this was corrected already. The museum reveal had some VFX oversights but it wasn't TrekYards who found and pointed out the error to be fixed, the production staff already did.

The best part is that Earth finally has Planetary Shields & Orbital Defense Satellites along with Earth Space Dock.

Unfortunately, they aren't designed to fight off an armada, the way they should be.

Yes. And hey, you wanna side with a dude who wishes death on a person because he made a TV show he didn't like, that's on you. You wanting to be associated with the likes of them says far more about you then it does about my complaints. Besides, it's hardly an isolated incident. And the drunk excuse is pretty weak sauce, I gotta say. Hate to be around you after a couple cocktails.
I don't drink, so it doesn't really matter.

I'm not going to worry about something trivial like that. He said something you didn't like.
Whoops, you can't forgive and move on.

He won't be the first nerd to wish death on a production staff for making a show they didn't like.
He won't be the last nerd to do it either.
This has happened all through-out fandom through the ages.

Same in Star Wars, same in Star Trek, same in many shows.

Are you going to hate being around fandom when many of them do the same thing?

I'm not going to worry about something trivial like that.
Trivial? You must be a republican/conservative.

So? We should just give him a pat on the back, say shit happens and support him?

Yes.

Anyone, who wishes death on someone over something as trivial as how they produced a television series is a Loser with a capital L. They are an example of everything that is wrong with famdom. And anyone who make excuses for them, in my opinion, makes them just as bad. Take that however you want.

I'm independent. But you must like labeling people as something you hate.

So? We should just give him a pat on the back, say shit happens and support him?
Up to you, but if you stick with that attitude, you're going to miss out on alot of people in life.
Just by judging them by one sound-bite.

Makes me wonder how you survived being around any fanbase.
How the heck did you survive the 80's & 90's & early 00's then?

I think you're being overly sensitive

Wishing death on someone because of how you perceive what they did with pretend spaceships in an era of the future that won't be seen even by the current generations great, great grandchildren is pretty insane.

This level of psychotic, sociopathic abuse has been shown to have genuine mental health impacts on people. Ahmed Best was treated so severely poorly by the SW fandom that he considered committing suicide over it.

Condemning someone for wishing literal death on Kurtzman isn't being overly sensitive, it's being a goddamn fucking good person.

Hate is a strong word. Pity? Probably more accurate.

but if you stick with that attitude, you're going to miss out on alot of people in life.
That's where you're wrong. Hard to miss people you have absolutely zero interest in hanging out with.

Easily. I didn't associate with people who take a work of fiction so seriously that they would feel strongly enough to wish death on someone.

I think you're being overly sensitive
That's nice.

Trekyards must have a connection to marmite, you either love them... or you hate them. But regardless of anyone's Opinions, no one should be telling anyone else which content creators they should or should not follow. Just because one person said one nasty thing when the were hammered doesn't mean they should be "cancelled" and it doesn't justify us for jumping to conclusions about who they are as a person, he could have had a really bad day. Everyone has the right to watch whatever they like and if someone has a problem with that then they should probably just keep their negativity to themselves. And here I thought Star Trek Fans were considered to be more intellectual and moral than their Sci Fi counterparts, I suppose that was niave of me... Hahaha.

Ah, so you pity those you dislike.

That's where you're wrong. Hard to miss people you have absolutely zero interest in hanging out with.
Then you'll be missing out on lots of really cool people to hang out with.

Easily. I didn't associate with people who take a work of fiction so seriously that they would feel strongly enough to wish death on someone.
Wow, that's a giant chunk of fandom in general.

That's nice.
You do you, you're the one who's going to miss out on alot of cool folks.

And here I thought Star Trek Fans were considered to be more intellectual and moral than their Sci Fi counterparts, I suppose that was niave of me... Hahaha.
I've heard that.

My experience has taught me otherwise. Things are fine as long as we all agree.
Wow, that's a giant chunk of fandom in general.
Why this ok? Why is this behavior supported? :wtf:

I think we are all frustrated from having to wait another 3 and where I am even 4 days to see more of the Enterprise D 2.0!!

And what happens when we don't all agree?
Civil-War?
Honestly, I don't mind disagreements. You and I rarely agree. I don't wish death upon you at all.

Sorry, maybe its personal experience or professional experience, but man death is treated as a big deal when it involves characters we like but apparently casual wishing death on real people is treated as pedestrian. I don't get it. Sorry but I don't. It's mean spirited, short sighted and makes me concerned for a person's mental health.

Only because I'm fatigued of baseless speculation and ready for answers. The Enterprise D is least of my interest.
