I'm not convinced most of these tiny differences can't just be accounted for by different cameras/lenses, and slightly different shooting positions/perspectives.The only noticeable differences: The door to the conference room may be a few inches more to the right, and the Conn and Ops (?) consoles are about 6" higher. A minor difference in front of the dome as well and the red part of the carpet isn't quite as wide or the front consoles are set a wee bit further apart.
Blass said the plaque was one of the original props, not a recreation. The dedication plaque also has a more ribbed and deeper edge now, but that could just be because the Enterprise-D probably cycled through several different plaques between "Encounter at Farpoint, Part I(TNG)" and GEN and Geordi restored the bridge using the least damaged and/or most available one.
Yep, definitely not the later one (S3). But Patrick couldn't have shrunk that much. I think we're seeing one of the less obvious differences in the rebuilt bridge layout.Blass said the plaque was one of the original props, not a recreation.
Looks to be the one that first appeared in Silicon Avatar, based on the dark areas around 'USS Enterprise' lettering.

The dedication plaque used in the recreation was seen in Seasons 5 to 7 (and presumedly Generations)Yep, definitely not the later one (S3). But Patrick couldn't have shrunk that much. I think we're seeing one of the less obvious differences in the rebuilt bridge layout.
fuck trekyards. Also you don't need to spoiler tag them, the thread already has a spoiler tag.
Well one of them did. I don't think Samuel has ever expressed such things, he's more composed than Foley. Can we just stop with these idiots. They've literally wished death upon production staff.
Just stop.
Fair point. The talented one atleast seems to have a self filter.Well one of them did.
They sort of carried over that idea when they were doing Ops for Deep Space Nine. The transporter nearby, and a staff meeting table at the center of the room instead of a command chair.I also really liked this idea, which was intermediate between the giant original bridge concept and what we ended up getting. The couches wrapping around the forward consoles make more sense here, and we can see the origins of the Enterprise-D's famous horseshoe.

One idea from these concepts that should have absolutely carried over into the final design was the bridge being part of a self-contained "command complex" containing its own transporter room and docking port facilities.

Well, too bad. They get to talk to many of the folks who create the show and interview them. The worse thing anyone in the production of Star Trek could have ever done, in regards to online fan channels, was to give them the time of day.
It's apparently the seasons 5-7 plaque: https://twitter.com/gaghyogi49/status/1647676234745225219Yep, definitely not the later one (S3). But Patrick couldn't have shrunk that much. I think we're seeing one of the less obvious differences in the rebuilt bridge layout.
