In hindsight, S1 should have started like this, and then we’d have two more seasons with the TNG cast….
On the other hand, there were some amazing things in S1 and S2 as well, so it’s kind of a double edged sword for me….
But in all fairness, Patrick Stewart maintained at the beginning ‘this will not be a TNG reunion’, and I think he said that thinking the fans wouldn’t want to see that… while all this time, that was EXACTLY what fans wanted to see….
