So what's the runtime on the next episode? If it's only 45 minutes like this one with a good 20 minutes being Jack/Borg exposition I'm concerned the final ep will feel really rushed.

Could have done one or two less eps in that nebula tbh.

The revelation about Jack is not a big surprise. But well executed!

Altough I did not expect to see the Borg again so soon. But at least these are the real Borg, not "XB's", not alternate timeline "Borgatis". And their plan is clever.

And then there was hangar bay 12. I think most of us saw that coming too...but man...the feelings!

I think episode 10 is gonna be epic!

I don't think holding off the Jack reveal until the finale was worth it. If we'd done this sooner, there would have been space for reflection and to really properly develop themes and character work around generational divides, legacy, connectivity etc.

Instead, I've felt like plot and themes have been in a death grip of mutually-assured destruction for weeks now as the 'mystery' played out. Plot contrivances to support character moments are fine with me. Quick shorthand for motivation so we can get back to the plot are also fine. But this season tried to do both and has ended up with neither a good plot nor credible emotional stakes.

The one thing that did get lavish priority were the homages. It's felt like nine hours of unboxing a time capsule to see what we put inside all those years ago. I know that has a lot of emotional resonance for a lot of fans and I'm happy that's brought so many people so much joy. I'm disappointed to find how much it does not work for me.

An advance reviewer compared 310 to AVENGERS ENDGAME where you seemingly have an end, and then another end, and then another end. Hopefully that bodes well.

I think the 25 and under concept is a strong critique of our population that is 25 and under, a lost generation with little motivation and direction. Only the older generation has a change to correct the massive overreach ( borg virus ) in our current society. And the same apparent in Picard.
Young people are highly motivated and have a direction. Us older people may not like it, but it's there.
/end politic statement

I've never seen Avengers anything (don't want to either), but that sounds to me like a longer-than-normal runtime. Which is a good thing.
