Spoilers Continuation of 25th Century Trek?

And whatever sets were saved, would need to be dismantled and shipped to Toronto at great cost, if not totally rebuilt from scratch, as I highly doubt any future Trek series will be filmed in LA with PatStew outta the picture.
Those starship sets look like limited and temporary construction. "Extensive sets," my ass.

Rebuilding the sets in Toronto would be much cheaper than having them shipped. Which is what will most likely happen should a series be grenlit. People have to remember, there is also no guarantee the Titan will survive the season. So if the ship gets blown up the current sets are irrelevant.

As for an announcement for any potential 25th century series, there won't be one until the season ends because to do otherwise would spoil the outcome of Season 3.

An announcement is more than likely a year or two away... We didn't get a Strange New Worlds announcement right after season 2 of Discovery. It takes time!

Just out of curiosity.

Where is all this talk of "Star Trek: Legacy" coming from lately? That title seems to be used a lot around here and on social media.

Because of Levar's appearance on "The View" where he proposed the idea?

There is no 25th century Trek series being planned currently with Terry or any of the cast involved. None have been contacted. Spinner, Terry, Monfette and others have recently said this.

Terry himself said that was what he would call a 25th century Star Trek series.

I thought it was something proposed by Matalas. In any case it doesn't enthuse me anymore than a Starfleet Academy series (although that one is actually getting made). If they have to do a 25th century set Trek then they should set it 50 years after Picard with new characters rather than continuing to leech off of nostalgia for TNG & its spinoffs.

If there is a 25th century show called Legacy I would love to see the off-spring of various legacy characters make an appearance. (Kestra Troi-Riker, Miral Paris, Kirayoshi and Molly O'Brien, Alexander Rohzenko, Jake Sisko and his sibling XXXX Yates-Sisko, Jack Crusher, Sidney and Alandra La Forge (maybe even in bring the third sibling Bret La Forge, Naomi Wildman, I could go on.)

Something interesting I noticed where Wil Wheaton's comments on The Ready Room this week.

He called Picard S3 as the 'sunset' for the 90s Trek timeline (including Voyager). The 'bookend' of 90s Trek.

I'm wondering if this is the company line behind the scenes.

Or like that other Franchise from Paramount it won't be the end

that scene from the Last Crusade is still one of the best finales in a movie ever. It's them literally riding into the sunset. The Undiscovered Country had something similar with the Enterprise-A and their last joyride.
