Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

The fact all the Starfleet ships are connected and the whole fleet is there at Frontier Day is the whole point of the evildoers plot. A plot to wipe out the whole fleet once and for all. The thing in hanger bay 12 is the only thing not connected. I think the E-F is the one that will spread whatever it is to the rest of the fleet. As to how Picard plays into all this, his speech, his corpse and Jack, I haven’t figured it out yet.

Yeah, I was afraid of this. Last time I saw this story it was called (nu)Battlestar Galactica.

The last time for me was the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories” the naval review for the Earth Federation Space Force. It’s bit of a tired troupe, if you ask me.

Anyone think we are going to have a star trek six finale...titan Vs shrike and the enterprise swoops in to help out...meanwhile the crew beam over to the frontier day celebrations / speeches and expose the changelings (possibly a clone Picard)

I’m kind of liking the idea that the face is Armus and it will be revealed he was cast off by the Founders long ago. The rogue Changelings, after being cast out by the Founders located Armus and have joined forces. It could be interesting to have a captive Troi figure this out given that in “Skin of Evil” she was trapped by Armus and communicating with him. Being held by Vadic she could sense something familiar with Armus’ involvement. The trailer had her saying something like “there’s a darkness on this ship” if I’m remembering correctly.
Wondering as well if a problem is the rogue Changelings and Armus can’t link anymore and it will be something about Jack/Picard’s genetics re: Irumodic syndrome that they need to be able to have some form of Great Link, at least mentally if not physically, given how they seem to be more “locked in” to specific forms. There could also be reference to “Things Past” where a human Odo was able to somehow create some kind of telepathic version of the Great Link with Sisko, Garak and Dax despite them all being solids as a sort of precedent. Also expecting their grand plan will involve reanimating Picard in some way and he will be essentially a Changeling version of Locutus on Frontier Day.
Terry Matalis said in an interview with Collider that ep 7 will be all about Vadic’s backstory and we’ll learn all we want to know about her so looks like we’ll have answers soon.

I've thought the same about Armus (I've mentioned in some other threads, and I'm not the only one), but I hadn't thought much of the Troi link there. I think that's a good call, and does make sense.

In fact, I always completely forget about Troi's communication with him from the shuttle and always just think of the bits with Yar and Riker.

That wouldnactually bena good Troi character thing tbh. I wasn't certain I liked the Armus angle (despite suspecting it) until now.

Terry Matalas is directing the last two episodes, so if they did have any major surprises then he could have kept it in a very tight circle. There wasn't even a small hint of Ro in the run up to it either though. Personally, I find it very hard to believe they could bring back Kirk out of the blue like that and be able to effectively pull it off. I think it was just an easter egg. Same with Sisko. There is too much going on with those characters to think they could do them effectively.

THE WRATH OF SPOCK.

It would explain
Beverly telling him to "connect the branches."

I also feel like multiple times Jack has said “we’re all just looking for connection” or something along those lines and something tells me it’s thematically relevant.
Jack joins Jurati's Borg which cures him of irumodic syndrome and that's that. :borg:

I'll cross post this here
THEORY: I think the masked and robed Changelings on Vadic's ship might not be able to shapeshift. They are stuck in semi-liquid form which the masks and what ever they have under the robes keep together, Maybe a side-effect of the virus?

So I guess we are all in agreement that Starfleet at Frontier day, shaka when the walls fell. And then the museum fleet has to come in to save the day.

Voyager's transphasic load out would be stored at Daystrom no?

Remember what they said about transponders and all modern ships being connected? They're gonna steal ALL the museum ships for the finale and save the day. It's going to be a Ships of the Line calendar come to life.
I assumed they would all be on display for the parade

I would be very surprised if Armus had anything to do with this. Lower Decks had the character appear for the purpose of taking the p*ss out of it, so it would seem unlikely it would be brought back as the main big bad on a flagship show now.

The Trek showrunners have meetings to ensure they don’t step on each others toes. I just find it hard to believe they’d let Armus appear in such a throwaway gag if Picard was planning to use the character for much more serious purposes.

Well. They did do pretty much that with Q.
