The Making of Star Trek book lists 14:

Enterprise, Exeter, Excalibur, Lexington, Yorktown, Potemkin, Republic, Hood, Constitution, Kongo, Constellation, Farragut, Valiant, and Intrepid
Well we know one of those definitely isn't a Constitution.

Known Connies (according to memory-Alpha). This also includes ones in the refit configuration.

Between this list and that paragraph from The Making of Star Trek about 1701's starship class entering service over a decade before 1701 herself...I am convinced that we are looking at multiple production blocks sent into service over decades.

I think with all the talk of a Star Trek:Legacy series, a new Prime universe movie and a Starfleet museum P+ show, I think I will do a “Nicholas Meyer” rewrite to pick out the best feature of each idea and come up with:

“A Night at the Starfleet Museum” a Star Trek movie - Starring Jeri Ryan as Captain Seven!

hmmm…list is missing the Defiant.

The TOS look still happens. It's just not happening right now on SNW.

the TOS look is never gonna happen on SNW. The show even changed up the Monster Maroons.

The book was written between season 2 and 3, the Defiant hadn’t been made up yet. Don’t ask me why they didn’t use a name from the list, since that’s what they wrote it for.

interesting. I didn’t know that’s when the book was published.
