So it seems pretty clear that we're going to see the fleet museum at some point in the future and I was just wondering what everyone thinks we might see? The end credits tease the Enterprise-A, the Excelsior, Voyager, and the Pioneer, which is apparently a ship from STO. The opportunity to showcase a great many other ships might be just too hard for the producers to resist. There's definitely a chance to show a few ships that could really get people talking. Imagine the NX-01 Refit put into the canon, beyond a quick glimpse of a eaglemoss model, after all these years. Or perhaps a ship from the Kelvin era? Will we see a pre-refit Constitution? Will it look like TOS or the Discoprise? How about the Enterprise-D saucer, or the HMS Bounty Bird of Prey? The possibilities are so numerous!
Those Trekyards guys did a screencap analysis that showed a possible TMP Constitution class, a TOS Bird of Prey, a Defiant class, an Akira class, a Klingon BoP, and some others. But those were just what was in the ‘rings’ outside of Spacedock. Who knows what is inside?
The graphic during the end credits for the Museum lists the 1701-A being inside for one. It listed other names (maybe Voyager?)
Spoiler: prediction for the season finale At the end of the season we will see a parade at frontier day with all famous ships we know. NX-01 Enterprise-A Sulu's Excelsior An Ambassador Class Ship to honor Enterprise-C Enterprise-D Saucer ( maybe merged with an intanct engine-section from another broken Galaxy-Class) Spoiler: ...and .... and the TNG-Crew piloting it *Dream* The 'another' Souvereign-Class Ship that Terry mentioned to honor the 'E' (that seems to be destroyed) Enterprise-F Voyager Defiant That small ship left of the Enterprise-F could be NX-01
we know for sure we’ll see the saucer of the E-D. I would guess we’ll see the E-A, Voyager and NX-01 as well.
It would be a crime if the producers didn't make the most out of this opportunity to show the museum. I'd be happy with seeing any/all those discussed. But I'm really hoping that Geordi steals one and uses it to help Picard. It would be cool to have episode(s) set on any of those classic ships.
Well… seeing Enterprises A, C and D would float my proverbial starship ‘boat’! Edit: anything Kelvin also!
The thought of seeing the Enterprise D bridge one last time gets me giddy. I guess it’s not outside the realm of possibility with 25th century technology that’s it’s been repaired / refurbished.
I think it's obvious that the Enterprise D is coming back in some form. They even telegraphed it in 3x01 with Picard's dialogue about it, and the painting. As soon as they mentioned that Geordi is in charge of the 'Starfleet Museum,' I felt a big Avengers-style teamup battle of ships from different eras is coming.
But wouldn't bringing a bunch of museum ships into a battle be somewhat.... suicidal? I mean, wouldn't it be like bringing in a bunch of Model T's and Model A's to compete in a NASCAR race?
Unless it's something like all the modern ships have been compromised somehow, and only the antiques are still workable?
I’d be shocked if we see any museum ships in action. We’ll probably just see them docked at their display ports.
Yes, it'll be a "Oooooooo!!!! There's the 1701-A!! Ooooooooo!! There's the Excelsior!!" type moment. The only ship that will go beyond that is the Ent-D, because we know there are scenes on its bridge.
