Same way people get offended over a ship design.

What's stupid to you is important to someone else. IDIC, right?

Disliking something and getting downright offended are two different things. Getting offended by an abbreviation is weird. I dislike the Turbolift funhouse. But I'm not offended that people like it

IDIC my friend. It is not worth derogatory comments or laughing at other people with different opinions.

In American Parlance "STD" means "Sexually Transmitted Disease." It is considered insulting, to the point that a friend of mine in college had to change his vanity license plate because it ended up with STD on it.

I get that some people made that joke when Discovery first came out. Even Shatner did. I have used STD for Discovery I'm not even thinking about Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Whatever though. But some people need to get a little sense of humor around here. It's not that big a deal.

Yup all the original series episodes happened and looked as they were filmed. Ah finally all is back to normal.

I'm not sure I understand why you need Paramount to verify what's "true" for you. It's a fictional series told in many iterations by many people over nearly 70 years...

Like, I love Robin Hood stories but I don't lose touch with reality when the story gets retold. Like, I don't think the Errol Flynn version died when Mel Brooks made Men in Tights. This is how stories work. They are not static and they don't belong to anyone in particular.

Kill the IP lawyer in your head!

The ONLY true canon.

Honestly blown away by the casting here.

I just enjoy when canon is as good as possible. It makes the world building more fun for me.

I wonder if that Romulan Bird-of-Prey is one of the TOS ships. It can't be the one from "Balance of Terror" for obvious reasons but maybe one of the ships in the squadron commanded by the female Romulan Commander in "The Enterprise Incident" was captured when they tried to get their commander back from Kirk?
