Good. Dealing with trauma is part of the human adventure.Season 3 proved your attempts at bending over backwards to explain Season 1 and 2 to be pointless.

Yeah it feels right because it's doing star trek things
Did you watch season 2? They literally drove around LA to save money
We predicted that if season 3 was people in uniforms on ships trekking through space in starfleet that the season 1 and 2 defenders would look like clowns

The unofficial map of the star trek galaxy seems like the worm whole exit is the same distance as the alpha quadrant border.
I never understood the not Star Trek gatekeeping. As someone who found the Season 1 finale a mess and much of Season 2 downright mediocre and occasionally outrage-inducing all I can say is: take the gatekeeping crap and stuff it. It was still Star Trek, albeit "meh" Star Trek in my eyes.
DS9 is still the champ for focusing on the main, supporting and guest casts. Lightning in a bottle that series was.
I do. Upset nerds who can't control content so they try to dictate canon status.
Good point. As usual, it comes back to power and control.I do. Upset nerds who can't control content so they try to dictate canon status.
That and 5 bucks will get you a bad cup of coffee. How dare these greedy corporate hacks not create content specifically for my consumption with my own exact personal preferences in mind? The nerve! I've been the most loyal Star Trek fan for decades (as demonstrated by my incessant complaining about whatever's on currently and dismissing all of it as "not Star Trek"), does that really mean nothing these days?
There is a difference between responding to customer feedback and bowing down to the loudest feedback in the name of "Real Trek." it's a fine line and one I don't envy the producers walking.Fans are also customers, at the end of the day. Fan action spurred the return of Star Trek after TOS was cancelled, fan outcry arguably forced improvements to both ENT and DIS, and so on... Paramount responds to customer feedback the same as plenty other businesses do. *shrug*

Oh, I expect nothing less from corporations. I actually understand them better than I do fans.I'm afraid you'll find that bowing to the demands of the biggest gobsh!te is a behavior of a lot of particularly-moneygrubbing corporations; in my personal experience far too many foster a culture that actively encourages it -- and in direct opposition to their supposed business ethics and workplace "values".
But I digress.
I use to expect more from fans of a franchise that supposed espoused a more evolved humanity. That has quickly evaporated.
Optimism is still something I have not lost completely.Oh, I finally gave up on that expectation altogether roughly around 2016... for reasons.![]()

And you pretending that it isn't, is assine. You guys pretending season 1 and 2 were star trek was embarrassing
Why?Make your mind up! LOL
And you pretending that it isn't, is assine.
Grow up and move on.
What one wishes to do with ones own 'Head Canon" is fine & dandy.Or just pretend it was all a bad dream lol
