Why? he has Picard's mind in there. He is a being, like Data, or the Doctor, or Sargon in TOS. There is nothing wrong there.

I'm also questioning the humor that someone is finding in watching a being hit by a vehicle and why that causes humor?

It's the same humor you get from watching troll 2 or battlefield earth

Also: Starfleet has Marines, and Voyager shouldn't have headed for the Gamma Quadrant terminus of the wormhole.

As someone who found the Season 1 finale a mess and much of Season 2 downright mediocre and occasionally outrage-inducing all I can say is: take the gatekeeping crap and stuff it. It was still Star Trek, albeit "meh" Star Trek in my eyes.

This season of Star Trek is reminding me of 24 meets Captain America: the Winter Soldier meets Agents of SHIELD.

DS9 is still the champ for focusing on the main, supporting and guest casts. Lightning in a bottle that series was.

So far, for me, season 3 is one of the saddest, least interesting pieces of star trek since ENT.

Season 3 of Picard just feels so RIGHT. Seasons 1 and 2 were good but they didn't feel like they were firing on all cylinders. But this current season? It feels as though everything about it works. There are no convoluted plot points, no dull moments, no boring characters. Nothing. Nada. Zip. It reminds me a lot of when TNG season 3 came on and it felt like the show had finally lived up to its potential. Too bad there won't be any more seasons of Picard after this! But I'm glad we got this show at all because after TNG and its movies ended I never thought we'd ever see the character of Picard or the rest of our TNG heroes again in live action.

Yeah it feels right because it's doing star trek things

We predicted that if season 3 was people in uniforms on ships trekking through space in starfleet that the season 1 and 2 defenders would look like clowns

Season 3 proved your attempts at bending over backwards to explain Season 1 and 2 to be pointless.

The pretty starship fights aren't fulfilling when the story surrounding them is crap. And some of my favorite Trek stories have taken place in simple, primitive locations (like TVH, CotEoF, or Past Tense).

You're the one making a million different posts like you feel the need to validate your opinions. I loved season 1, despite its flaws in the last few episodes, and consider season 2 to have been an incredibly fun and entertaining time all the way through. Season 3 has so far just made me sad and bored every week.

1 was good, had more good moments than bad ones.
2 was bad, much more bad stuff than good stuff.
3 had its first bad stuff today with the Vulcan gangster, everything else was good so far.
