It was only obvious because the characters outsmarted it. It showed how Shaw and 7 worked great together as a team. In short, it was supposed to be obvious, and they were prepared for it and dealt with it. Great scene.

Nope, neither gets away with it. It's just stupid. I call them as I see them.

He tried. Riker cut him off several times. By the time Riker was finished, the moment had passed.

Right. That was actually the point. The earlier pulses showed how they gave the ship a charge. They used the final pulse to basically jump start the Titan as they surfed it out of the "nebula."

The changelings in Deep Space Nine usually didn't make that kind of approach with a lot of talking. They liked to sneak up and make their move. They would only chat, or gloat, when it was easy for them to get away.

I haven't really enjoyed this season, but hell I'll get in on this! Best Star Trek ever! $500 to $1000 worth of lavish praise and witty compliments ready to go!

The new Changeling goo could be new VFX but there was a Changeling on Discovery and that was the older Version so there could be a story towards it.

I fully admit that when I saw Seven's first scene I said, "Be werry, werry quiet. I'm hunting Changewings." :D

I loved Jack asking about the hair. Crusher picking up on the birth pattern was lovely. I'm so glad the writers remembered she's smarter than the average doctor. If life was fair, Stashwick would be nominated for an Emmy for his Wolf-359 scene.

If the holodeck is on an independent power source so it can be used in an emergency...why not run life support on the same source?

I think the same thing when I'm reading old Iron Man stories from when he had his heart condition. His standard weakness was that if he ran down his armor's power, the chest plate that was keeping his heart beating was in danger of failing. Tony Stark couldn't figure out that the chest plate should be on its own battery?

Me, too. For all the worship being thrown towards "Gene's vision" we should all remember that:

    1) Crosby left TNG because Gene confirmed to her that she was just there to be eye candy. And 2:

    2) TNG: Vash/Robin Hood/Q episode. Troi & Crusher are the only characters who don't fight despite Sirtis & McFadden being the only two with actual experience swordfighting.

I love Gene and all he has given us, but let's not pretend the guy always made the right call. Trek has come leaps and bounds forward with character development, especially for women.

I think it was pretty obvious from Riker calling Picard "friend" and his whole demeanor that it wasn't worth rehashing. They've been friends for decades and a bump in the road wasn't going to change that. Especially, not at the end that Riker thought it was. Figuring out who was right, especially when both were wrong, was not a priority. I thought it was very effective.

If she was a Changeling, she wouldn't need to cut off her hand to speak to another Changeling. For me, this strongly suggests that she's not a Changeling. I'm also unsure why she'd have to cut the Changeling off. I guess we'll find out!

I just meant that the guy who played Jack Crusher I's apparent age did not allow for him to be around Picard's age if he'd lived, not the very idea that an older man and younger woman were a couple. It was just having to change my frame of reference with regards to Jack I's age, and making up silly and wholly unnecessary sci fi reasons for such continuity "errors" is amusing to me.

Seems like that shouldn't be an issue if it was built to run on the other power source.

I suppose at least we haven't fallen off the irreligious wagon yet in the 25th century. And hey that's another thing older than humanity, but admittedly more destructive than alcohol.
